My first Demo Reel. I have very little editing/mixing experience so you'll forgive me if that side of the equation is crappy.

    Gavaroc Fevinor's Demo Reel:
    1. Intro.
    2. Darth Vader Impression.
    3. Original Voice and Original Line
    4. Adaptation of a joke line from a Bandit in Warcraft III.
    5. Day of the Tentacle - Impression of Bernard and Dr. Fred.
    6. The Bard's Tale (PS2) - Impression of Narrator and The Bard.
    7. Warcraft III Character Impressions set to 'Power of the Horde' by Level80EliteTaurenChieftain.
    8. Outro.

I'm an actor and a writer, not a producer, so again, don't expect god-like editing/mixing from me Hope you enjoy.

    All constructive criticism is appreciated.

    - Yes, the music at the last section is meant to cut off like that. I didn't have any more lines

Hi Gavaroc, nice to see you on Voices.com.

I took a listen to your demo and I do have some con/crit!

First, I'd avoid impressions! Especially if you are aiming for professional roles (I'm assuming, since you're also at Voices.com). When you base your abilities on impressions only, it gives everyone the opportunity to say, "He's doing it all wrong..", and also stifles your own creativity and what YOU have to offer a new character!

I dunno if they WERE accurate, since I'm not familiar with these characters. But in general, it's just really not a good idea. (plus, the #3 was one of your best, by far! You really opened up more.)

Secondly, I'd suggest an acting course. It sounds like you know how things can be said... but it does not appear that you are actually acting these things out, if that makes any sense..

Last, you were really quiet on some parts. In general, it seems like you are scared to let everything go and fully act-out. I suggest practice, and even vocal exercises to help develop your instrument. You can find these through Google!
This would help build the confidence and range of your voice, thus expanding your acting canvas..

Good luck, I hope this helps in some way! -tot

Honestly this was boring. Demo reels need to be dynamic and bounce from voice to voice quickly if you want anyone to pay attention to you.
The Warcraft section was a bad idea. Some of those voices were really good, but there were too many similar ones over too much time. It'd be better to pick your best two voices from warcraft and mix them into a general sampler rather than creating a warcraft sampler and tacking on a few other voices at the beginning.

Ideally speaking a demo reel should be as many voices as you can possibly manage in as little time as possible.

Also your acting wasn't bad, but it fell flat in a few places and left me wanting more. If I was scouting for a production now, what little you gave me in that sampler wouldn't have left me with enough confidence that you are capable of conveying complicated emotions through your voice. All I heard was a few voices... most of which copied the intonation of other actors.

That being said, the best voice in the whole sampler was most definitely your original character. You have potential, but this sampler does not show it off.
