After what seemed like FOREVER, G.A. has FINALLY come into fruition. And it's here for the first time... voiced in English by our pals at the Voice Acting Alliance and the Voice Acting Club!

Gakuen Alice is the story of a 10-year old girl Mikan Sakura who is devastated when her best friend, Hotaru Imai, transfers to a school for "genius" kids in Tokyo. After hearing rumors of what happens in the Academy, Mikan runs away from home and leaving her grandfather to seek out her dear friend, and finds that the school Hotaru transferred to, Gakuen Alice, is specifically for children who each have a special ability called an "Alice". To Mikan's surprise, a teacher there, Narumi, discovers that she too has an unique Alice, and admits her to the school.

The story is primarily focused on Mikan and her experiences at the Academy, from the everyday bore of classes and exams, to the unexpected clashes with the Anti-Alice Organization (AAO). Despite her initial view of the so-called greatness of the school, Mikan slowly finds out that beneath the grand facade of the Academy lies a never-ending stream of lies and deception.

Radio plays are hard you never know if there are enough SFX or not.

The effects on the voices in the beginning were weird and they made it hard to hear the voices.

All the voices were very cute; not much I can say other than that?

I'm not going to give a thorough (or accurate xD) review, just the voices that stuck out the most.

I was very impressed with Narumi's voice-actor, when I heard his voice I pictured the blonde 'transsexual' in the flesh.

I have to be honest and say that I was not very satisfied with Mikan Sakura's VA. Her voice, while cute and oblivious enough, was overly squeaky and her decibels were totally over 9000. Not just that, but she seemed very fixated on sounding as young/cute as possible, which normally would be the right thing to do, but her voice ended up sounding too close to a toddler than a young girl. She sounded like her lips were overly pursed through the duration of both episodes, and when she screamed it FORCED me to turn down my volume, as the multiple girls I was talking to on Skype were almost required to say 'WHAT IN GOD'S NAME WAS *THAT*?!'

I think that she can get much better if she enunciates some more.

Other things that dragged the quality of this project down was the fact that the echoes (to signify in-head thoughts) had too little of delay and too much decay in the echos themselves. I had to strain my ears to hear what the characters were thinking.

Also a lot of minor things, like voice-volume, should be adjusted, to make them sound more-or-less the same volume. Some voices were far too quiet while others were eardrum-exploding loud-as-hell.

Overall, though, I can safely say that this is going somewhere.

Whoa, this was really cute. 8D I liked everybody's performance, apart from a few lines here and there sounding a little awkward. And I do agree that the echo was kind of over the top.

The Mother 3 music kind of dragged me out of the story, but at the same time, it was really neat to hear it all of a sudden. (!o.o)/

Apart from that, nice job overall!

I like the mixing as well, though it as hard to hear the echo-y voices... but I think that's because my headphones are MEAN and only let me hear through one ear XD (And my dad is being loud while I'm listening)
