Producer Note: Hey everyone, BloodyHowling here! Coming to you this time with a clip of the first few minutes of episode 1 of Tales of Eternia. I wanted to note what an amazing job the cast did; I was remarkably impressed with everyone's performance! Hope you enjoy! Comments and critiques would be welcome by both me and the cast.

    Producer's Critique:
sonicmega: My friend, you were the perfect Reid. I was really impressed with how much detail you put into the recording; but just a word of caution, don't let it hinder your performance! But trust me when I say this, you brought what I wanted to portray as Reid to life. You did a fantastic job.

Hatomikazuki: Un-freaking-believable... You were exactly what I wanted. The amount of energy you brought to each line was precisely what I was looking for in Farah. She's wild and energetic, and you portrayed that very, very well. I was so excited mixing in your lines because they were all so fun and full of enthusiasm!! Awesome job !!

YingFaStar: LOL! Trust me when I say, that when I precasted you without telling you about it, I had full confidence that you would deliver a five star performance regardless of whether you knew it or not! And again, even though you had words that you couldn't pronounce accurately, I knew that it would be no problem for the great lolfangstar! So, Andiri XDDD ( the good kind )

Amanda Johnson: My sister, again -- cute noises XD

Sukisho: I don't know why I didn't precast you to begin with. When I heard your audition, I was lke, 'oh duh! Why didn't I just have him do it in the first place?' -- Spot on as always Sukisho.

blueyedblond482: Truth be told I didn't reckognize your user name, so I thought I would give it a chance, and I couldn't have been more pleased! I know, I know, it was one line-- but it was perfect. I look forward to working with you more!!

Other Notes: Good job guys XDD!

Definitely one of the projects I have been nothing less than proud of to be a part of. Timely, mixed well, and all-around enjoyable to listen to.

    But nonetheless, REVIEWS!

    Reid Hershell: sonicmega
    Farah Oersted: Hatomikazuki
    Meredy: YingFaStar
    Quickie: Amanda Johnson
    Keele Zeibel: BloodyHowling
    Gold Mask: Sukisho
    Red Mask: BloodyHowling
    White Mask: blueyedblond482

sonicmega: This is one of the few roles I actually wish to give myself some praise in, as my major concern was both yelling lines and the "fighting" sound effects, both of which I feel were adequately performed. However, I severely regret that one of the few roles I seem to have captured well was injured by the fact that I forgot to open my window when recording most of the lines, which led to the final result sounding more muffled than it should have. Still, I definitely intend to reference this for future roles! Thanks for giving me the opportunity!

Hatomikazuki: The fight scene was entirely dependent upon your ability to adeqautely express anger combined with futile tolerance for Reid, and I could not have been happier with the result you presented us. Although there was the rare case of peaking on your end, the performance itself was OUTSTANDING, and I am extremely proud of your character representation here.

YingFaStar: I was unaware of the precast status when I first watched this episode, but upon watching the performance I can easily see why you would have been cast this role anyway. Not only did you greatly express the true characteristics of Meredy, but you absolutely NAILED the "foreign language" segment while still keeping it fluid and confusing in a good manner.

Amanda Johnson: Adorable. Sometimes a little squeaky, but absolutely adorable.

BloodyHowling: The only flaw I saw in this was in the middle of your description of the Grand Fall to Reid, where the portion sounded more "scripty" than the rest of your lines, but this was an especially solid performance overall. I can tell that to rely on you to deliver a believable and yet fun-loving voice when the need arises is an assumption not unfair on my end, and this instance is no exception.

blueyedblond482/The Masks: A strong performance by all. The distortion in voices prevents me from adequately assessing the vocal talent, but from what I heard the character voices were quite believable.

Mixing: There could have been some improvement on integration of lines, as some of Reid's lines regarding the sky seemed "pushed together", but otherwise the quality was extremely satisfactory. I'm already listening to this for the 3rd time!

VA MVV (Most Valued Voice): In a grandiose display of unabashed ego, I likely would have nominated myself in light of my actual matching of the character, but due to my lacking quality because of a stupid error on my part, the award is a tie between Hatomi and YingFa; whereas one captured the energy, the other captured the essence, and to ask me to choose between the two is a task I honestly cannot do. Well done, both of you.

Reid Hershell: sonicmega - I think you captured Reid'spersonality perfectly. The one scene where you were talking to Farah about eating her food, I think you could've sounded more "innocent" as you're trying to ease her temper. You sounded slightly too strong, and this scene is more comical.

Farah Oersted: Hatomikazuki - You convey Farah's emotions really well - reminescent to angry to sarcastic. I really liked the more spazzy/yelling lines - although, a few of those did peak. I can't really tell if they were peaking before or after you send them in. I guess you should try to stand away from your mic a bit? You can also fix peaking on Audacity with Filter >> High Pass Filter, but it doesn't sound as cool anymore >: Your "So that means..." made me smile XD... Overall, I loved your performance.

    Quickie: Amanda Johnson - Kweekyy!!

Keele Zeibel/Red Mask: BloodyHowling - This guy makes me laugh, and I don't even know why XD... The first time I heard you say Reid "Rid" and then later on I heard "Ray-id" ... maybe I'm just hearing things, but try to keep the pronunciation the same >: The one line "Then I, Keele Zeibel, Grand blah blah will prove that..." could've been said more strongly/passionately - as if you're working towards a goal. I liked the "...anything scientific, I don't believe in...Maybe you're getting tired from this long journey >D..." line. You seem to play these cocky characters a lot XD... Nice one on Red Mask too.

Gold Mask: Sukisho - You did a really nice job adding a mysterious/dark tone to your voice. No complaints here.

White Mask: blueyedblond482 - It was a little hard too hear you, not sure if it was the echo or if they line was just too soft. Otherwise, nicely done.

Mixing: This really impressed me! The SFX were well-placed. The music seemed too loud over some people's lines, but it wasn't too distracting. Same with the echo effect - for the most part, you did a good job of applying it without making it over the top, but there were some lines that were difficult to hear/understand with the echo there. There were a few mouthflaps off, but I think that had to do more with the scripting. Some lines sounded "on top of" each other... where there was dialouge, but the second person answered the first person too quickly. (Ex: "Reid, you are so simple minded," "Did you have a nightmare?" and "I'm a student of deductive...")

Scripting: I'm pretty sure I already told you this, but there were some bits in the script that seemed repetitive/overused ("Are you okay?") There were a couple of awkward lines. It kinda sounded like a direct translation of the Japanese language that didn't sound as nice in English |D ("You sound excited. I mean it's Celestia...")

First project out on VAA! and I gotta say,Wow everyone did a great job! and my voice sounds sooo different with it all distorted like that. I can't wait to do more. Sorry if my voice was too quiet or not easily understood luckily I've recently started to record on audacity!

Yeah distorted voices! We're awesome XD

Okay seriously though, I thought this came out really well ^^ I was happy when I saw the auditions for this one because there hasn't been any ToE around in a looooong time.

Overall I think everyone did well as their characters, nothing seemed out of place to me, though on a technical side there were a few times where it appeared either Hatomi had some mic clipping when yelling or some sfx near them were too loud cause my headphone cut out on me everytime I heard them.

And yea I heard it too Ying, he did say "ray-id" which I found a bit odd myself, though it seemed sort of odd to me since I've usually heard it more like "Reed".

Other than that, I thought it was all done nicely

This was nicely put together. I think the cast was perfect for this. If I had to be nitpicky, I'd have to say that the only thing that bothered me was the random peakings in Hato's lines. Whenever you yell, you should try to lower your mic volume.
