    Stranger in a Strange Land

Stranger in a Strange Land is the first issue of Ludo Lullabi and Walter Simonson's World of Warcraft comic. Featuring our amnesiac hero "Logosh" and his adventures through Azeroth as he attempts to learn his true identity.

It's an ongoing series and at the moment I plan to complete the first volume at this point. I may or may not continue on from that point depending on the reception of the project and my own time frame. So if you are selected for a reoccurring role please keep it in mind that you may be asked to reprise said role in the future.

    DEADLINE

Deadline for auditions for part 1 "Stranger in a Strange Land" will be August 8th.

I do have a few individuals in mind for certain characters but I am a firm believer in the audition process. So all characters will be available to audition at this point. Keep in mind that due to the nature of this project there will be many minor roles that will need to be filled in. I'll most likely request those who didn't make a certain character to take up one of the one shots or background characters.

    Recording and Contact Info
    1. In your file, please put your recorded audition formatted with charactername_yourname_linenumber.mp3. Please include a .txt file along with your audition. Including your contact info email/im/whatever I can get ahold of you with as well as the name you want on the cast list.
    2. Put the .txt and your auditions in a .zip file plz. I'm lazy and don't want to open Winrar.
    3. Send your audition to kurokeima@gmail.com
    4. You're all seasoned actors at this point please attempt to keep your auditions clear of pops and clicks. Your recording quality is going to be part of the audition process keep this in mind.
    5. Title your email as *username*'s Strangers in a Strange Land Audition.
    6. Multiple takes are fine by me but please keep them to a maximum of three and feel free to audition for multiple parts.

    MAIN CHARACTERS "MALES"
lol, going to be alot of these at first boys audition often and for many. Note that all of the main characters listed are reoccurring.

    Name: Lo'Gosh/Croc Bait/???
Age: Unknown potentially early to mid 30's.
Bio: Lo'Gosh has no memory of his life or how he winds up on the shores of Kalimdor. As the series progresses we learn more and more about Lo'Gosh's past and how he fits into the unfolding drama happening on the world's stage. He is plauged with flashbacks of his childhood and life, bloody and disheartening images that drive him to discover his identity.
Voice type: Lo'Gosh is a hero even if he doesn't realize it yet. Despite having no memory of his life he feels fit in a commanding position. His voice should refect this. Calm and collected with a hint of cocky air about him.
Audition line 1: "Idiots! For now, your enemy...is our new master. There will be time enough to renew old conflicts once we are free.
Audition line 2: Back off, these elves are under my protection.
Audition line 3: Throw away your sword now Orc, or die.

    Name: Broll Bearmantle/Bristlefur Broll
Age: Unknown (Night Elves age...wierd. They were at one point immortal. Consider Broll to be in his 40's if you were to convert this into Human years. Old enough to have a family and a grown daughter.
Bio: Broll Bearmantle is a gladiator owned by Rehgar Earthfury. His past is rather vauge all that is known at the moment is that Broll willingly allowed himself to be brought into slavery by Rehgar. His rage and fury are infamous and among the trio he is the only one with any experience as a Gladiator. Broll is a druid and as such is capable of changing into the shapes of many different animals. As a mark of distinction Broll has "antlers" supposedly a sign of greatness in night elf society. Broll is the oldest of the trio. Very sagacious he often offers advice to the others. (Often to the chagrin of his companion Valeera)
Voice Type: Despite being the most "grown up" of the three Broll's anger is easy to rile. He should have a mature older sound but be aware that you're going to be playing him very..."angry" early in the series. I'm open to any interpretation of this you may want to offer. Keep in mind that Broll is a "Druid" this means he changes into different animals and is often speaking while in these forms. I've yet to really decide how to work around this but it will most likely be in post with regular lines given.
Audition line 1: What can Rehgar be thinking trying to turn us into a team. A human who refuses to fight and two elves that only want to fight each other..
Audition line 2: I've been owned by Rehgar for awhile. I trained with Bloodeye in the months before his death.
Audition line 3: I'm not surprised. Luck cannot abide Blood Elves. They're scheming cowards, turncoats by nature. They cannot be trusted.

    Name: Rehgar Earthfury
Age: Unknown (Orcs like Night Elves age differently from Humans. Rehgar is by no means old for an Orc consider him to be middle aged.)
Bio: Rehgar was born on Draenor, the Orc homeland. Born into a clan warring with a group of ogres. He made his first kill long before his coming of age ceremony and was eventually captured by the Ogres. Used as a tool to train their warriors until he killed too many to remain cost effective. He was then sold to the orcish arena where he fought as a gladiator. (Yes, he is an Orcish Proximo.) He is an increadibly power shaman having taken part in the Orc's first invasion of Azeroth. Where he was captured again, being sold into the arena in Azeroth. It is here Rehgar made his fame and fortune eventually becoming a Gladiator master himself.
Voice Type: Rehgar is an Orc and as such should have a deep gravely voice. He much like Lo'Gosh is a hero and has an air of power about him that is hard to ignore.
Audition line 1: What's the hold up Spiketooth? I'm not paying to to gawk at scenery!
Audition line 2: Good, that makes everything easier.
Audition line 3: Let it play out Spiketooth, they fight for the right to live. That is the way of the Gladiator.

    MAIN CHARACTERS FEMALE
There are going to be ALOT of female roles as the series goes on. However for issue one there is only Valeera. Sorry ladies, look out for issues 2 and 3 where our female leads come forward. Make not that Valeera is a reoccurring character.

    Name: Valeera Sanguinar
Age: Unknown (Getting used to hearing that? Blood Elves much like Night Elves were once immortal. So age is hard to figure out...Valeera however is a bit different. Valeera is "young" I'm looking for something along to 17-20 range.)
Bio: Valeera Sanguinar is a Blood Elf "Rogue", that was captured while attempting to steal a Shaman's Talisman. She was later bought by Rehgar Earthfury saving her from a life spent in Orcish prisons. She's very young for a Blood Elf and HATES when people mention this. (Like most young people.) She has lived a hard life. Her parents were killed by bandits when she was just a child. Having to live on her own wits even through the invasion of the scourge has made her incredibly sharp and bitter. She's a bit hot headed often acting before she thinks. As the series progresses she and Broll begin to share a special relationship. Broll thinks of her like a daughter, the two become very protective of one another.
Voice Type: Valeera is complicated being a Blood Elf she should have a young "smooth" sort of voice. She's a rogue and as such can be rather mischievous.
Audition line 1: Cross me Broll Bearmantle...and I'll show you how dangerous I can be!
Audition line 2: Welcome back Stranger, in case you can't remember...well you can't remember.
Audition line 3: I'm not! Well okay...I am young for an elf, but our kind age differently than you humans do. I was a "child" when bandits killed my family.

    Secondary Characters
These are one shot, or minor support characters throughout this issue. A few may end up becoming "reaccuring" characters these will be marked for your information.

    Name: Spiketooth
Bio: Spiketooth is an Orc working for Rehgar Earthfury.
Voice Type: "Orc" like, he is sort of a "peon" so take this how you will. Looking forward to your interpretation :3
Audition line 1: Nice move! Twenty silver on that human!
Audition line 2: A flick of the lash might improve his attitude...

    Name: Sparkeye (Potentially Reoccurring)
Bio: Sparkeye is another Gladiator master, his team is going to face off against Rehgar's team. It's unknown how he lost his eye and came to replace it with the monocle.
Voice Type: Again this is a Goblin, he's a bit of a shyster and a con man. Think Danny Deivito ala "Hesit". Feel free to go as quirky as you want with this, they're goblins afterall.
Audition line 1: Bah! A necromancer can put the undead back together easy enough, but Trusk can't regenerate that arm.
Audition line 2: Well...if you want to risk your team Rehgar. What do you say about a small wager? Say...forty silver?

    Name: Maggore
Bio: Maggore is a Grimtotem Warrior working for Sparkeye as a gladiator.
Voice Type: Deep and rumbly, sans the gravel. Tauren are massive bull people this guy should sound like a living truck.
Audition line 1: What's that human doing, why isn't he training?
Audition line 2: Hah! I guess Rehgar never taught you to beware a Tauren's HORNS!

    Name: Hyku Steeledge (Reoccurring)
Bio: Hyku is a Blademaster (i.e Samurai) within the Horde. Apparently an experienced gladiator but not much is known about him or at least revealed yet.
Voice Type: He's an Orc but also a "Blademaster" so please feel free to add an incredibly offensive Asian accent. It's sort of a trademark for Blademasters to sound like REALLY bad Samurai movies.
Audition line 1: Your protection? You're not yet a true gladiator pinkskin! Nor are you some mythic hero. You can't even protect yourself.
Audition line 2: This loser's too weak to stand, HAH, I kill him first!

Again this is going to be a ongoing project spanning at least seven episodes. If I choose to continue beyond that point there will be another seven episodes so on and so forth. So please be aware if you choose to audition for a reoccurring role that you WILL be requested to reprise this. This is especially important for characters like Rehgar Earthfury who disappear for whole episodes only to resurface later on.
As for our female roles we are going to have ALOT of them coming up. Those trying out for Valeera that may be interested in taking another role will be kept on a list for me to refer to. So keep an eye out, the comic has many powerful female characters that are going to need some "epic" voices to fill. :3
