Currently reading Showdown by Ted Dekker. It's book one of about fifty bajillion in his 'Histories' universe. The man knows how to create a world, that's for sure.

If I finish all of those books with some Summer left over, I'll probably start Paradise Lost just for fun.

Finished reading Ralph Peter's Red Army a couple of days ago. It was good, but Tom Clancy's Red Storm Rising is wayyyy better

The most recent book I read were actually three; The Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks. This includes the books, "Way of the Shadows," "Shadow's Edge," and "Beyond the Shadows." All three books were gruesomely awesome, and the character development for the characters were vast and entertaining. So yeah, there's that.

Well, the last book that I actually finished was Brisngr by Christopher Paolini. And that was about six months ago. Everything else I've tried to read is just crap -_-

This will be many books but I thought they are defiantly worth checking out if you’re into either Sci-fi or a good fantasy series. Most of this comes from my outside hobby (Warhammer) and it is very rare that I wish to read a book. All of these kept me up in the late night hours eagerly reading chapter after chapter, wondering what would happen next.

    Title: The Daemon's Curse

Author: Dan Abnett & Mike Lee

Summery: Warrior. Betrayer. Monster. Even amongst the treacherous dark elves, Malus Darkblade stands out as a study in ruthlessness. When he steals a map that leads him to a secret power hidden deep within the Chaos Wastes, Malus collects his cut-throat warriors and sets off to seek his fortune. Their Journey takes them into madness of Chaos and horrors that cause even a dark elf to quake in fear. Upon reaching the temple too late does Malus find out that it was a trap set for the fool who takes form the keeps. Now possessed by a Demon named Tz'arkan, he must recover 5 ancient relics in one year to free himself of the daemon or his soul forever be lost.

This is by far the best book I ever read. If you want to see a character that’s damn near pure evil, Malus nails it and more. It is a five part series and each one is exciting as the next. I would explain more about them but each summary rather spoils the book before it .

*The next five are part of a long series in the Warhammer universe at a time period referred to as The Horus Heresy.

    Title: Horus Rising

    Author: Dan Abnett

Summery: It is the 31st millennium. Under the benevolent leadership of the Immortal Emperor the Imperium of Man has stretched out across the galaxy. It is a golden age of discovery and conquest. But now, on the eve of victory, the Emperor leaves the front lines, entrusting the Great Crusade to his favorite son Horus. Promoted to Warmaster, can the idealistic Horus carry out the Emperor's grand plan, or will this promotion sow the seeds of heresy amongst his brother?

    Title: False Gods

    Author:
    Graham McNeill

Summery: The Great Crusade that has taken humanity to the stars continues. The Emperor of Mankind has handed the reins of command to his favorite son, Horus. Yet all is not well in the armies of the Imperium. Horus is still battling the jealousy and resentment of his brother Primarchs and, when he is injured in combat on the planet Davin, he must also battle his inner demons. With all the temptations Chaos has to offer, can the weakened Horus resist?

    Title: Galaxy In Flames

    Author: Ben Counter

Summery: Having recovered from his grievous injuries, Warmaster Horus leads the triumphant Imperial forces against the rebel world of Isstvan III. Though the rebels are swiftly crushed, Horus treachery is finally revealed when the planet is razed by virus bombs and Space Marines turn on their battle-brothers in the most bitter struggle imaginable.

    Title: Flight of The Eisenstein

    Author: James Swallow

Summery: Having witnessed the terrible massacre of Imperial forces on Isstvan III, Death Guard Captain Garro seizes a ship and sets a course to Terra to warn the Emperor of Horus treachery. But when the fleeing Eisenstein is damaged by enemy fire; it becomes stranded in the warp - the realm of the Dark Powers. Can Garro and his men survive the depredations of Chaos and get his warning to the Emperor before Horus’s plans reach fruition?

    Title: Fulgrim

    Author: Graham McNeill

Summery: As the Great Crusade continues to conquer the galaxy. Fulgrim, Primarch of the Emperors Children, leads his warriors into battle against a vile alien for. From the blood of this campaign are sown the seeds that will lead this proud Legion to treachery, taking them down the darkest path of corruption. Leading up to the carnage of the drop site Massacre on Isstvan V, Graham McNeill tells the tale of Fulgrim's tragic fall from grace in the next shrilling novel in the Horus Heresy.

After that the rest of the novels so far branch off into sub stories that you pick. Sorry if that was a lot but I thought I would share some books I enjoyed this year and last. ^_^

I just recently started reading my friends copy of "Forever" by Pete Hamill. It's about an Irish bloke that is immortal as long as he lived on the island of Manhattan. He arrives in the 1700's and it explores his amazing journey from then to now.

I'm actually getting stupid into it...

Dreamland- Sarah Dessen would be my most recent read, the story is about dating abuse. Personally I felt the story was incredibly strong, but the ending felt a little too dry and too clean. Possibly because it's one of her smaller books, though don't listen to me, it's still a good read and everyone has there own opinion. (READ HER BOOKS!)
