Title: Twilight Saga: (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse)
    Author:
    Stephanie Meyer
Summary: When Bella Swan moves in with her father in Forkes Washington, she meets a strange family known as the Cullens. After trying to figure out what they are, Bella notices her feelings for Edward, a member of the family. With gripping plots and high intensity thrills, it's a deffinate read.

Left out enough stuff to make you read it (if you haven't already).

I'm one of those obsessive Twilight fangirls, but I actually prefer Jacob to Edward(though I love Edward, too). I just got the special edition of Eclipse, which comes with a preview of Breaking Dawn(which is SO fantastic!!) and t-shirt transfers that say "Team Edward" and "Team Jacob". I'm making the Jacob t-shirt today.

Title: When You Are Engulfed in Flames
    Author:
    David Sedaris
Summary: ...<3! Another book of essays from the brilliant and hilarious David Sedaris. Read about everything from how his mother-in-law was eaten by parasitic worms to his adventures trying to quit smoking... in Tokyo.
Just like all his other books, it made me laugh until I cried. If you haven't read David Sedaris before, you don't know what you're missing. And if you have, you know that you have to go and get it RIGHT NOW.

What is this "Moe Factor" you speak of? Hmmmm...

    Title: Good Omens
Authors: Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett
Summary: (the short version, which I am totally stealing from Amazon, because I'm sick and far too lazy to come up with my own.)
"This zany tale of the bungling of Armageddon features an angel, a demon, an 11-year-old Antichrist and a doomsaying witch; unmistakably British humor is in abundance."

It. Is. Hilarious. I really, really enjoyed it and would heartily recommend it. I know I'll definitely be reading it again soon.

I absolutely love Good Omens! =D Very good take on the end of the world. XD

Title: Are you there, Vodka? It's me, Chelsea.
    Author: Chelsea Handler
Summary: A memoir of comedian and talk show host, Chelsea Handler's life up till now. When Chelsea Handler needs to get a few things off her chest, she appeals to a higher power -- vodka. You would too if you found out that your boyfriend was having an affair with a Peekapoo or if you had to pretend to be honeymooning with your father in order to upgrade to first class. Welcome to Chelsea's world -- a place where absurdity reigns supreme and a quick wit is the best line of defense.

I'm actually only half way through it, but she's not afraid to speak her mind, she's totally hilarious and you'll be saying the entire time, "No way!" because some things are so hard to believe. But they happened and it's hilarious. I absolutely love her show, she's top-notch and hilarious to-boot. Did I mention she's hilarious? *shot*

Meep, it's been awhile since anyone's replied to this thread. ^^;; I'm actually a bit of a Twilight fangirl myself... >_> <_< I don't know if I'll get 'Breaking Dawn' right away when it comes out tbh. Hardcovers get on my nerves lol

    Anyways...

    Title: The Virgin Suicides
    Author: Jeffrey Eugenides
Summary: Basically observing the downfall of the Lisbon family through the eyes of a few neighbourhood boys. It takes place in a small community set in the 70s, so in a time when suicides weren't openly talked about. I thought it was interesting to see how the different generations and people reacted to the tradegy. My only problem with the book is the boys are borderline stalkers and completely obsessed. It's slightly annoying to have to read about their fanboyness sometimes. lol But other than that I liked it.

And just to prove I'm not some emo person this is what I'm currently reading.

    Title: Carrie Pilby
    Author: Caren Lissner
Summary: (I'll just type some of the summary on the back since it sums it up pretty well) "Carrie Pilby doesn't fit in -- and she's pretty much given up trying. A year out of college and settling in to life in the big city, this 19 year old genius believes everyone she meets is immoral, sex obsessed and hypocritical, and the only person she sees on a regular basis is her therapist. When he comes up with a 5-point plan to help her discover the 'positive aspects of social interaction.' Carrie, who would rather stay home in bed, is forced to view the world in a new light."

I'm about halfway through and it's a good read so far. The main character, Carrie, reminds me a lot of 'Juno'. lol I keep picturing her as Ellen Page. ^^;; It's a book I can kinda relate to and is pretty entertaining. Not dark at all. ^_~

Why would that make you emo? It's a fantastic piece of literature.

( I took the summary's from the back of the books and added my own comments :3; still reading "City of bones" but only got 2 chapters left XD Read all of them in under a week :3 very proud XD! )

    Title:
    City of Bones

    Author: Cassandra Clare

Summary: "City of Bones" is about a 15 year old girl named Clary Fray; she heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York city,
she hardly expects to be a witness of a murder - much less a murder committed by 3 teenagers covered with strange tattoos and
brandishing bizarre weapons. Clary knows she should call the police but it's hard to explain a murder when the body disappears into
thin air and the murderers are invisible to everything but Clary. She finds out that she doesn't know alot about her family
then she had expected. Alot of secrets are unfolded as Clary and her new friends journey to seek answers.

    I cant really summarize alot cues I would ruin the book^^;

( You MUST read the Night World series in ORDER! There are 9 books...but the 9th is coming out this year sometime ;3 )

    Title:
Secret Vampire (Night World vol 1)

survival is James, her friend and secret love. A vampire in teh night World. James can make Poppy immortal. but first they
both much risk everything to go against the laws of the Night World.

    I actually enjoyed her books! I have only read 3 of them ^^;

Title: Daughters of Darkness (Night World Vol 2)

    Author:
    L.J Smith

Summary: Fugitives from Night world, 3 vampire sisters leave their isolated home to live among humans in the book "Daughters of Darkness"
Their brother, Ash , is sent to bring the girls back to the Night world before Quinn takes thing in to his own hands. But Ash
falls in love with their beautiful friend.

I would recommend to read the first book or you will not understand the second^^; I loved the second one! Its so much like "Twilight!"
if you love the Twilight series; I recommend the second one! :3 (But you have to read "Secret Vampire" first )

Title: Spellbinder (Vol 3 of Night World)

    Author: L.J Smith

Summary: Two witch cousins fight over their high school crush, its a battle between black and white magic.

Wasnt my favourite...guess cues I dont really like the whole "witch's" thing^^; more into vampires XD!

Title: The DarkAngel (Vol 1 of the DarkAngel Trilogy)

    Author: Meredith Ann Pierce

Summary: Aeriel is kidnapped by the Darkangel, a black-winged vampyre (vampire) of astounding beauty and youth. and taken to his castle keep.
There she must serve his 13 wives, wraiths whose souls he had stolen away. Aeriel knows she must kill the darkangel before he takes his 14th bride
and comes into full power, but she is captivated by his magnificent beauty and intrigued by the spark of goodness she sees inside him.

I enjoyed the first one :3 gotta go out and get the 2nd and 3rd XD It was kinda an easy read with 238 pages...but I liked it :3
