I am currently reading a very good book "The Lost Symbol" penned down by Dan Brown. I have read almost all books written by him. I just love the way he writes. "The Da Vinci Code" was the first one that I read among the books written by Dan Brown. I read it after I saw the movie. I liked the book so much that I read "Digital Fortress" and "Angles & Demons" and that sums up all the books that I have recently read.

I read the The Da Vinci Code not to long ago. I reread The Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damned about a month or so ago. Two weeks ago I read The Lightning Thief, because a friend wanted to see the movie. The movie sucked, but the book was pretty good.

I finished reading Life of Pi. It was good. Not as great as everyone reviewed, however.

Reading Water For Elephants now So far so good.

Currently, I am reading a very interesting piece of Japanese literature called Spinning Tropics by Aska Mochizuki. It's basically about one Japanese foreigner, Hiro, in Vietnam who makes the acquaintance of a Vietnamese student learning Japanese, Yun. It basically revolves around their love for each other (they are females, by the way) and how a businessman, Konno, seems to complicate it with Yun's paranoia and jealousy.

Very interesting, yet very short. >:

I read The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver in my English class recently, and fell in love with her writing.
I finished another one of her books, The Bean Trees, just yesterday, and now she is my current hero(ine). I worship her.

The Awakening by Kate Chopin is very interesting too. If you're going to read that definitely read "The Yellow Wallpaper" along with it. It's public domain so you can find it easily online.

A Japanese author I recommend Haruki Mikami. It seems like he's on crack half the time he's writing, and I love it. I recently read his "The Elephant Vanishes" and other short stories. Half "WTF?" and half heartwrenchingly poignant.
