With this game you need to give the title of a book you have read recently and give a short summery about it.

Then the next person has to give a small commentary about the story or Author. It doesn't matter if you've read the story or not. So saying things like "Sounds interesting, I'll have to check that out when i have an opertunity." Or "That story sounds boring as hell." are allowed.

    Example: Princess Diary's

Author: Meg Cabot (if you don't know the author's name. just say you don't recall the authors name at this time)

Summery: This is the story of a girl named Amelia Thermopoliswho learns that her father has lost the ability to produce an heir due to surviving a bout with cancer. So that makes her the new princess to the throne of Genovia. Amilia hates the idea because it sets her apart from her plans on graduating highschool and joining Green Peace. But eventually although reluctantly begins to accept there are some things in life she can't have the way she wanted.

Next person: Oh I've read this book. Mag Cabots a good author but it feels like majority of her books tend to follow the same pattern with the girl having facinations about the guy who is the most popular in the school and then having her finding out the hard way that he isn't as cool as she beleaved he had been.

    Title: Looking for Alaska

    Author: John Green

Summery: Miles Halter AkA Pudge a boy with a love for the last words of famous people decides to attend a boarding school in Alabama. Stating he wants to follow the last words of the poet Rabalet(sp) who was believed to have said "I go in search of a great perhaps." When he had passed on. Miles hopes to try and understand what the "great perhaps" was and possibly find his own "Great Perhaps"
While at Colver Creek, Miles meets an excentric girl named Alaska Young. Alaska shows him a book where the main character says "How can I ever get out of this labyrinth?" A quote that Alaska herself uses at times in the story. One night Alaska appears to Miles and his room mate Chip Martin AKA The Colonel. She is drunk and crying while she is asking her friends to help her escape from the school since it's after cerfue. The boys try to covince her to wait until morning when she would be more sober. But she persists. Fifteen minutes later Alaska slams her car into a Police car and is killed instantly. Alaska's three friends are left to deal with the hole Alaska left in their lives.

That sounds like an interesting read.

A book I'm currently reading is:

Title: The Dirt:Confessions of the world's most notorious rock band

Author: Tommy Lee,Nikki Sixx,Vince Neil,Mick Mars and Neil Strauss.

    Summary:
Here-directly from Nikki,Vince,Tommy and Mick is the unexpurgated version of the whole glorious,gut-wrenching story. In these pages, published for the first time anywhere, are Tommy lee's letters to Pamela anderson from prison; Mick's confession to having an incrable disease that is slowly killing him; Vince's experience burying his own daughter--and the train wreck that his life became afterward;and Nikki's anguished struggle to deal with an entire life fueled by anger over his childhood abandonment, his discovery of his family he never knew he had--and his subsequent loss of them. And all of it accompanied by stories of rare never before published photograghs,mug-shots, and handwritten lyrics. No one is spared. Not David Lee Roth,Ozzy Osbourne,Vanity,Aerosmith,Heather Locklear,AC/DC,Lita Ford,Iron Maiden,Pamela Anderson,Guns and Roses,Donna D' Errico,RATT or those two girls from Dallas,Texas.
Make no mistake about it: these guys are genuises. They invented glam rock and then left it it the dust;sold more than forty million albums from "Shout at the devil" to "Dr. Feelgood";toured the world dozens of times and have the scars to prove it; and maintained a rabid following in an era of throwaway pop stars. Motley Crue has done nothing less than tattoo the psyche of the entire MTV generation. They are the ultimate rock n' roll band. And if you don't believe it,read The Dirt....You don't know what decadence is...

    Title: Of Mice and Men
    Author:
    John Steinbeck
    Summary:
Clinging to each other in their loneliness and alienation, George and his simple-minded friend Lennie dream, as drifters will, of a place to call their own. But after they come to work on a ranch in the Salinas Valley their hopes, like "the best laid schemes o' mice an' men," begin to go awry.

I had to read this in my English classes at school, but it was so good, i had to buy it myself.... and the film.

Haven't read it yet, but it's on my rather massive list of books to read. Someday. Eventually.

Title: The Killings At Badger's Drift
    Author:
    Caroline Graham
When an elderly woman is found dead in her home in the small English town of Badger's Drift, Chief Inspector Barnaby goes to investigate. It soon becomes apparent that things aren't exactly as they seem, and what appeared to have been a natural death may actually have been murder.

It's actually a good bit more complicated than that, but that's all I can say without completely spoiling the plot. This is the first book in the series that the show "Midsomer Murders" is based on, by the way.

You've left a hefty bit of cliff to hang onto; now I have to read it!

    Title: The Alchemist
    Author:
    Paulo Coelho
A shepherd boy named Santiago travels from his homeland in Spain to the Egyptian Pyramids in search of a treasure from his dreams. Along the way he meets a Gyspy woman, a king, and an alchemist, all of whom point Santiago in the right direction. What starts as a journey for worldly goods turns into a discovery of treasure within. Spiritual without being religious, the book tells of every spirit's "Personal Legend," and teaches that one must follow his own path in life.

I didn't think I would like it, but I couldn't put it down!
