This is my first radioplay, and I am rather thrilled with the way it came out. I am very grateful to my excellent and hard-working cast.

    Mippa (as Ash)

Mippa deservedly has a stellar reputation at the VAA, and I feel fortunate that she joined this project. The role of Ash is rather tricky, as the character has to act like a boy with the voice of a girl, and Mippa handled it brilliantly.

    Japanimaniac13 (as Emily)

Japanimaniac13 is a relative newcomer to the VAA, and based on her performance here, I expect to find her in a lot more productions. The energy (and hysteria) she brought to the role really sell it.

    Phantasm (as Terrael)

That voice just shouts "pompous boss" doesn't it?

    Abner Senires (AceTachyon) (as Fillaniel)

And you can just see him being very particular with his underlings. You can see why Rumisiel loses his head around these two!

*bangs head repeatedly against keyboard* So I had this whole thing written, and then I took so long, it logged me out. Please forgive me if some of the comments are clipped or curt.

Russ: Thank you for all the help you've given me, I'm glad the final product turned out so great. I see what you mean about Rumisiel's comic timing. You really were very funny. I'm going to try to work on that mike feedback.

Mippa: I'm so excited to work with you! I'm really amazed by the amount of emotional and breath support you are able to provide your characters. I can learn a lot from you!

Phantasm: You've got a great voice, I really liked the strength you were able to put into the character. -- I know it's not the most helpful of comments, but I hope you appreciate the sentiment.

AceTachyon: Your voice made me laugh! It sounds almost exactly like this guy from my Senior class- who, ironically enough, did get accepted into harvard. -- I know it's not the most helpful of comments, but I hope you appreciate the sentiment.

Me: I'm glad of all the hard work I put into this- I really like the comic & the character, so that helped. What I really want to work on more is both my technical knowledge of voice acting (abysmally little) and getting a bit of that squeak out of my voice. I'm glad Russ liked the hysterics, but I almost feel like it makes the character really 2-D, just "OCD school nerd", and I want to avoid that. I'm glad I get to take a whack at a kind of different side to her next script. Also, keeping my voice sounding more constant, while maintaining emotion, is another goal. Everyone did such wonderful jobs!

I still have to listen to it, I will when I get a better connection. I listened to about 30 seconds while listening to one of Mippas mp3s. As it was towards the end of the song the first line I heard was "got it", or something like that.... I thought it was part of the song x_x

Anyway, I thought at first look that this might be a project by Chris himself. ;p Does he know about the project?

    James-

Actually, that's a good question. I guess I just assumed... that Chris did.

Russ, does the Misfile team know about this?

It's just a fanwork, I'm pretty sure the creator doesn't need to know.

Anyway! Finally able to listen to this. Everyone has said what I wanted to say about the voice actors already, so I won't repeat. You all did a wonderful job, though! ^^

As far as the radioplay, sometimes it seemed like you used the balancing stuff a bit too much. Like, you would have someone talk all the way to the right and then something would happen all the way to the left, etc. I just think it was used a bit too much. Balancing the actors into both ears would be a lot easier to listen to. I think some footsteps were missing...in fact I didn't hear too many at all.

Besides all that, this story is awesome and I can't wait for more! I bet the original creator would be proud.

He should definitely know! It's good enough to have fan-artwork, but a good radioplay/drama... At least I know it would make my day.

Chris absolutely knows. I asked his permission before I did it, and I have been posting updates on the Misfile forum.

Thanks for the comment - there were times when I really wanted to show people at opposite sides of a room, and other times when I simply wanted to give a feel in intimacy. I was experimenting, and any specific tips there would be welcome.

Footsteps are one of the toughest things for me - there must be a knack to it I haven't yet mastered, and I haven't seen any decent how-tos. I think these two topics would both be worthwhile for somebody to write up.

Thanks. I know he's listened to the first scene at least, and said that he enjoyed the characterizations.

I totally read Misfile! I didn't know that a radioplay was done of it. Will totally listen to it later.
