Hi! This is Ayumi Elric with another project! I absolutely adore Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, its one of my favorite series in all time, and Onisarashi is my alltime favorite Higurashi side story. Sadly, it's a manga-only story, so I decided to do a radioplay on it!

Summary (according to One Manga) Summer 1983...Hinamizawa is a tranquil village, but its inhabitants have been plagued by strange deaths and unexplained disappearances seemingly every year. Some say it's the terrifying curse of Hinamizawa's legendary deity, Oyashiro-sama, causing victims to be spirited away by monsters, but is this town harboring dark, horrying secrets even more sinister than any supersition or myth?

In Onisarashi-hen, a former resident of Hinamizawa named Natsumi is introduced, and her life after the Hinamizawa disaster is explored.

A year had passed since Natsumi's family moved to this city. Natsumi became acquainted with her new life, surrounded by friends as they went home together peacefully every day.
However, the news streamed through the television one day would change her fate substantially. A toxic gas disaster had occurred at a rural village. Furthermore, the village that got caught in the disaster was the one that Natsumi's family used to live in. Shocked by the incident, Natsumi's grandmother told her "this is Oyashiro-sama's curse'. What is this "Oyashiro-sama's curse" that grandmother is speaking of...?
The event marked the beginning of grandmother's eccentric behavior. A dissonant tone within the family indeed. As the calmness becomes concealed with each passing day, the uncertainties in Natsumi's life begin to appear...

-Try not to have any background sounds in it, I'm still learning and not sure if I can edit them out yet n.n;
-When recording your lines, make them all in one take per character. It's easier for me like that.
-Label your files as Charactername_Username (example: Natsumi_Ayumi Elric)
-Please have all lines in one .zip folder. What you label it doesn't matter~

-I will give (most likely really bad) critiques unless that person chooses not to have one. If you don't want critique, please state so in your email.

Line 1: The demons that fell from Hell coexisted with the humans in the village. Oyashiro-sama gave the demons a human appearance. Together, they built a village where they could live. Demons and humans coexisting is something hard to believe; but Oyashiro-sama's power made it possible. Eventually, the blood of demons and humans mixed and some villagers gained supernatural powers. Those villagers were called "mountain hermits", and where revered by the villagers living in the base of the mountain...

Bio: A teenage boy who really likes Natsumi. He's been friends with Tamako and Chisato since childhood.

Line 1: (annoyed) "What is it", my ass! How long do you think you can borrow my textbook?
Line 2: (shyly) I want to know if you would get to like me...because...I really like you, Kimiyoshi.

Kimiyoshi
Bio: Natsumi's father. Because of his job, they moved to Hinamizawa. (I need to do more research on him, so I'll fix this later XD
Voice Type: Medium-low. Fatherly, I guess >.>;
Line 1: (thinking) She said that we would get cursed if we moved away from Hinamizawa...we had a little discussion over it too. I thought she was okay with it though.


FEMALE
Natsumi Kimiyoshi
Self-casted

Haruko Kimiyoshi: Natsumi's mother. Because of her husband job, she and the rest of her family moved to Okinomiya, against her own mother's wishes. She hates the fact that they come from Hinamizawa, and wants to erase that fact.
Voice Type: Any, motherly.
Line 1: (calling) Natsumiiii! How long are you going to sleep??
Line 2: (frustrated) I suppose that if there were other families that moved out of Hinamizawa would be cursed too?

Grandma Kimiyoshi: Natsumi's grandmother. She's extremely religious of Oyashiro, and was completely against the move from Hinamizawa. The incident there that recently happened devastated her, making her even more scared of the curse.
Voice Type: Old, but not frail sounding. Sorta has a creepy feel to it.
Line 1: (gently) Your hair has grown a lot...and lately, it's become quite gorgeous too...is there a boy that you like, maybe?
Line 2: This is Oyashiro-sama's curse, no doubt about it. Terrible...terrible...


MINOR:


FEMALE:

Chisato (Left): One of Natsumi's friends, who flirts with her on a daily basis. She's the loud and obnoxious type. She's a recurring character who'll be here and there throughout the whole series.
Voice Type: Medium. Loud.
Line 1: Aren't you forgetting that it's time for gym class? (singsong) If you don't hurry up, there won't be any room for us in the dressing room~
Line 2: (flirtacious) Because this way I get to see cute girls like you Natsumi, in your panties and up close~~ <3

Tamako (Right): Another one of Natsumi's friends, she's the more serious one and keeps Chisato in line. She's also a recurring character who'll be here and there throughout the whole series.
Voice Type: Medium-High
Line 1: You're the one who's in the gym commitee, Chisato. Why're you asking me?
Line 2: (pissed off) Stop fooling around and go to the dressing room!!!
