You don't have to confirm if you don't want to (but feel free), the lines you submitted will be used in the final version >D Stay tuned for the recording of the skit (assuming we're able to get one)! Project information :: We're seeking actors for the audio component of an Ouran Host Club/Haruhi Suzumiya (sort of) crossover skit for PortConMaine 2008. Due to our distance, collective lack of experience with voice recording, and, erm, gender, we figured it would be easier to outsourseSo-- we need you! This is a brief skit; brief enough that the audition lines are the lines that will be used in the final audio track. This is it, folks! No commitment involved beyond sending in the audition. You can see the full script (it's not very long) here.
The convention is in early July so timing is important. We're unlikely to make extensions, so please do your best to meet the deadline!
I'd love for the cast to see their work in action. If possible, we'll arrange to have our performance recorded and post it on the VAA. =)

Age: 17--18
Bio: Dubbed the "Loli Shota" type, he looks about six years old and acts like it, too! However, he is a brilliant student under his sugary-sweet exterior and has a dark side that strikes terror into the hearts of the bravest of men; he is a master of martial arts to boot. He is never without his pink, stuffed rabbit Bun-Bun.
Voice type: very high-pitched; probably going to cast a female

Kyoya Ootori
Age: 17
Bio: Salutatorian of class 2-A, "Cool Type" Kyoya is the Host Club's vice president and "shadow king" who manipulates from the sidelines. He is highly intellectual and a smooth talker. Kyoya's wish is to succeed his father's powerful conglomerate of medical companies and hospitals.
Voice type: medium pitch; alert & reserved but utterly sleek
VOICED BY: Tamekichi
Ranka Fujioka
Age: mid-late 30's
Bio: A widower and Haruhi's father; he has sworn never to love a woman other than his deceased wife. He works in a tranny bar. He is extremely protective of Haruhi and is annoyed by the way Tamaki treats her.
Voice type: his first like should be fakely high, bordering on falsetto; he sounds extremely flamboyant. In the second line, becomes deadly because he feels his daughter is threatened.

Renge Houshakuji
Age: 16
Bio: MAJOR otaku-girl. She's the boundlessly perky, self-proclaimed manager of the Host Club and the one who dragged Haruhi into cosplaying. (Actually, she's pretty obnoxious when you get right down to it...)
Voice type: somewhat high-pitched
VOICED BY: Haushinka (line 1) & lhflowers (line 2) (Funny thing about Renge: your auditions were so similar we decided to choose the best line from each and combine them! =P)
Remember, the deadline is May 26! I will not cast anyone before the deadline... 'cause it bugs the heck out of me when directors end auditions without warning. (However, as with any production, it never hurts to get your lines in sooner rather than later for practical reasons.)
