    I want a better mixer but I don't want to mess my computer up is virtual dub safe to use please tell me

    Vdub can't exactly "Mix" stuff. It's more for the "connection" part, as in it can take a final audio mix of something and merge it to the video. You'd have to do mixing in another program.

    i use audacity...... its horible so ya i have ur same prob.

    Vdub is completely safe, but you won't be able to mix audio with it. Audacity is fine unless you want super, uber professional extras.

    well I Have audicty but I need a something to put the audio to the video and I can't really do that on wmm

    I just did a couple of dub clips, and I used Audacity and wmm. I adjusted the audio levels on wmm so all the noise was coming from the audio and none from the movie, then I kept spliting the video track to find cues for when to have lines/sfx in audacity (then undoing after I got how far into the clip a cue was). Exported from audacity, imported in wmm and put it to the clip. I kept audacity open incase I needed to tweak/move anything just in case. I hope that helps ^^;
