What Manga Should I read?

Well I want to buy a manga so I could read it after testing but I don't know what so could anyone recommend me a few mangas that they liked and tell me why that would be great.

I reccommend School Rumble, it's a simple school love comedy, which I like surprisingly and I usually hate that kind of stuff. I know for sure you'll like GTO(Great Teacher Onizuka), I mean what's not to like, it's about the coolest funniest middle school teacher ever and you'll be wishing you had a teacher like him.

Also, I'll throw in Berserk, if you wanna see some epic, bloody, naked, manliness.

Trinity Blood and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle are two manga series that I would recommend highly. I also recommend reading the Trinity Blood novels that started the whole series. I will warn you, Trinity Blood is very violent. Lots of blood and guts flying around. Let's see, other series...

D. Gray-Man - Probably the best way to describe this series is Chrono Crusade meets FMA meets Trinity Blood. And Linali is probably one of the most kick ass female characters in manga these days.

Black Cat - This one's just fun, although there is a serious side to the story to. It has almost a Cowboy Bebop feel to it sometimes.

Ouran High School Host Club - I normally don't like mangas like this, but it's honestly one of the funniest and sweetest series I've ever read. There are times I've laughed so hard it hurt.

FMA - Fullmetal Alchemist is a fairly long series (it's still on going I think), but worth it. I'm behind in the manga now, but it really is one of the best series ever, in my opinion.

I guess the only other series I can think of that I really recommend is Death Note. I know you said you don't want to read it, but if you haven't already I think you should give it a chance. It could just be because I like psychological thrillers and crime stuff, but I think it's a very interesting series. Also, it's not really a manga, but Twelve Kingdoms is a series HIGHLY I recommend looking into. As far as I know, there's only the anime and the novels (which do have some illustrations).

EDIT: *smacks self* I forgot to mention xxxHolic. It's best to read both Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle AND xxxHolic, because they cross over a lot, and sometimes things in one series will give a little more explanation to events in the other series. xxxHolic also tends to be a little lighter than Tsubasa (the series has gotten very dark lately).

Azumanga Daioh (4 volumes) - comedy, will make you sad at the end though. XD
DearS (8 volumes), comedy, romance--it's sort of like Chobits.

Kare Kano (Yeah... I loved it so far! Despite only having my hands on one volume)
.hack//Legend of the Twilight (Best manga ever IMO! Since I'm a lover of gaming and anime, this has great appeal!)
CCS (I don't think I need to say anymore than what I can say. This manga is why I love the anime series.)

Second, that is an incrediable series in my opinion, if you feel for a novel grab that as well.

Thanks everyone I write all the books down to see if they are there next time I go to the book store. Also I will not read CCS but and i forgot I read more than that but I will try some of these books they seem interesting.

-gasp- Honey X Clover, Blood+ and Nana aren't boring..well, I've just only watched the show plus it's your opinion. But you should just watch the show then...for Honey X Clover, you should watch the last episode [it's a tear-jerker]. For Nana, you can just watch the live action movie [it summarizes the show I think but I heard it's really good]. For Blood+, I would say watch the 2nd season [ep. 31].

Sorry about that...I haven't yet recommended anything. I would've said Fullmetal Alchemist but you said it was too long. Even though it may seem long, it gets interesting each volume. I would suggest Rurouni Kenshin and Shaman King. They're both good mangas that deserves a lot of attention. You should read Doubt! too. I can scan you some pages to see if you like it or not. Same with Rurouni Kenshin and Shaman King.

xxxHolic is an ok series [JellybeanQueen2 recommended it] but kinda boring. I don't know if it's me but I find CLAMP's stuff boring. I'm not saying it sucks but it doesn't grab my attention anymore. But I think you'll probably like xxxHolic. You should also read Cresent Moon. It's another great manga that doesn't get enough attention.

Kiss me, kill me is a fun little series. I like the first episode most, albeit I soon realized it was clearly for girls.
