Hey guys, this is a little project I've wanted to do for a long time. ^_^ Digi-Trek Koushiro is a comedic crossover of Digimon and Star Trek originally consisting of a fanfic series I wrote ages ago on FanFiction.net... until they deleted it.
However, the DTK radioplay will feature an all-new story, chronicling the voyages of the starship Koushiro, as told from the eyes of Starfleet Lieutenant TK Takaishi.
Recording Guidelines:
- Record in mp3 format at 44100 Hz, 16-bit Stereo, 128 kbps or higher
- Label lines as YourName_CharacterName_Line#.mp3 (ex. DPrime_TK_01.mp3)
- Put lines in a zip file and label it YourName_DTKAuditions.zip A text file with your contact info would be great too!

Lieutenant TK Takaishi
An Internal Affairs officer working under Admiral Yolei. TK is rather cynical and while he prefers a quiet desk job over the unpredictability of starship life, his investigations often take him to various ships and exotic locales throughout the Federation. He narrates the story from his point of view (so he talks a lot).
Voice Type: Medium to medium-high. Bored and cynical—think Kyon from ‘Haruhi Suzumiya.’
Line 1: (narrating) Despite all that action at Alama Micron, things were pretty quiet here at Seventh Fleet Reserve HQ. I probably could’ve gotten the afternoon off... at least until I heard...
Line 2: (exasperated) Captain, I’ve checked the data recorder, gone through the computer logs and read the Kusanagi’s report. Not only were you not supposed to be there, but you fired the first shot!
Line 3: (worried) I really think making me defense counsel was a bad idea. The last time I was in a courtroom, I ended up sending my client to prison for 20 years!
Line 4: (conversationally) I’ve come to the conclusion that all Marines hate me... so, how was your week?

Lieutenant Ryo Akiyama
The Koushiro’s tactical officer. Ryo almost always has a smile on his face and he rarely, if ever, gets angry. He is an expert marksman and hand-to-hand combatant. Not much is known about his past and he tends to avoid talking about it.
Voice Type: Medium to medium-low. Confident and cheerful.
Line 1: Captain, I’m detecting a vessel about 500 kilometers off the starboard bow.
Line 2: (laughs) Aww, thanks Rika! That’s high praise coming from you!
Line 3: Locked on target, torpedoes standing by. (confidently) This time we’re gonna get you!

Lieutenant Koji Minamoto
A security officer aboard the Koushiro. Koji is rather rude and anti-social, and he also has a tendency to act stubborn and immature at times... especially around his twin brother Koichi.
Voice Type: Medium-low. Cold and disgruntled. Occasionally stubborn and whiny.
Line 1: (coldly) You’re late. The staff meeting started half an hour ago.
Line 2: (sarcastic) Wow Takuya, did you figure that out all by yourself?
Line 3: (stubbornly) I have no brother!
Lieutenant Koichi Kimura
Koji’s twin brother and a doctor aboard the Koushiro. Koichi is mature and gets along well with the rest of the crew. He looks out for his brother a lot, and often has to deal with Koji’s immature behavior with a firm hand.
Voice Type: Medium. Cool, mature and friendly. Sometimes firm.
Line 1: (sternly) Brother, do I need to have you sedated again?
Line 2: (seriously) He’s dead, Captain. (confident) But, 12 CCs of cordrazine and a synaptic stimulator can fix that.
Line 3: (kind, but firm) Koji, I’ve told you already. You can’t go around hitting people just because they were late for a meeting.

Ensign Kenta Kitagawa
A science officer aboard the Koushiro. He is Kazu’s best friend, but the two are complete opposites. Kenta takes his duties very seriously and is a bit of a nerd. He is fascinated with Tricorders and is almost never seen without one.
Voice Type: Medium-high to high. Kind and nerdy. (Note: Girls are welcome to try out for Kenta!)
Line 1: (excited) Hey guys, they finally released the source code for the Mark II Tricorder’s operating system!
Line 2: (a little scared) Um, guys? Was this planet supposed to be inhabited?
Line 3: No fair, Kazu! You just summoned 3 monsters in one turn!
Ensign Takato Matsuki
Takato is unofficially the ship’s resident Redshirt and a member of the Gogglehead Crew. He usually ends up doing various odd jobs ranging from night watch on the bridge to being Captain Izzy’s personal servant. A friendly, but timid boy, Takato is often easily pushed around and manipulated by his shipmates.
Voice Type: Medium-high. Sweet, innocent and friendly. (Note: Girls are welcome to try out for Takato!)
Line 1: Um, Miss Rika... ma’am, don’t get mad or anything, but I, uh... kinda forgot to, er... take the pattern enhancers with me.
Line 2: (nervous laugh) Well, I’m just glad I haven’t died on an away mission yet.
