I think you started the song off brilliantly but then at some parts it started going abit off tune. I think if you could just work alittle more on your high notes it would make it sound even better!

The lyrics themselves aren't bad or anything, they just don't seem to fit the rhythm as well as they could. For example, the first line "Today an an...gel with no wings stopped by and told me..." makes it sound like "angel" is two seperate words. And the rhythm in the line "The useless me picked up my pen and began to draw", seems off at the end since with "began", the emphasis is normally began, and "to" normally doesn't have that much emphasis in that context; it's hard to explain, but for example, if it's between two strong words, like "Back to work!", it'll be usually be deemphasised, but if it's working with a strong word with a word between them, like "To the moon!", it's be that kind of rhythm. In short, when writting a song, unless you're going for it to be really experimental or something, it should have a rhythm close to normal speech. It'd just take a little more work and some rearranging, but I'm sure it'd be worth it! But hey, that's just how I see it.

If you wanted to give them a shot, I certainly wouldn't mind. However, I revised the first verse a bit snce then, so here it is:

Today I find a wingless angel’s come and told me,
He’s lost the map that leads the way to where he needs to be,
I can't do much except to take this brush and water,
But soon I find the paint's new life is strong and pure!

I think what I had before was a bit lacking in the second set of lines, so I took another swing at it. I hope it works out!
