Welcome Back Pinocchio!
First of all... curious about my current progress on my projects? Click!
Inspired by a trailer of Pinokyo Yeni Macera (Welcome back, Pinocchio), I have decided to do a radioplay based on the Disney Classic. This will be a single episode which will be in five parts.
Short Story Synopsis: After being turned into a real boy, Pinocchio started doing everything that little boys do: going to school every day, making friends, helping his father around the house and actually working delivering packets with marionettes inside to other residents of their village. All is going well as he continues to remember that if he is brave, truthful and unselfish, he would be a real boy.
Extended Story Synopsis: What we didn't know is that the Blue Fairy visited him again to tell him that if he somehow abuses his privileges, he will become a puppet again. Following his new basic morals that he learns from his life situations, Jiminy now starts to leave Pinocchio on occasion to go be home with his family or be a nomad.
One day in class, Pinocchio's new best friend Eugene suggests that he should go out with Mari-Lou (DJ Pinocchio's girlfriend - the blonde) since she has been interested in him for some time. As well, Stromboli is coming back to town this year and she wants to go see his show. Pinocchio is flustered when thinking of the abuse he endured at the theatre and hesitates.
But Stromboli has his own plans as he recalls that his best sell-out show ever was while he still owned Pinocchio. He contacts "Honest John", a retired crook to go find and return Pinocchio to the theatre. John then finds Pinocchio as a real boy and is flustered, knowing he can't turn Pinocchio into the theatre with that until he learns of Pinocchio's good acts keeping him human. He than puts one over on Pinocchio when he dresses up as Santa Claus, fools him and steals his father's packet.
Now, stranded as a puppet, Pinocchio tries to go into hiding and work things out. He meets a young puppy by the name of Frisky who encourages him to go home. Ridiculed by his school mates, Pinocchio lashes out until he learns what he must do. He than goes to recover the packet and save his friends from their donkey fates.
