Pokemon- Following A Maiden's Voyage Fandub!

This is the fandub we started way back in August and since then has been reduced to one part instead of the full episode *shot* This is also my very first fandub!

Anyway, in this clip we see Dawn starting off her big journey as a Pokemon trainer. How do you think she will fair? But wait! Where is Proffessor Rowen's lab! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Wow, I'm impressed! The mixing was quite good, and the music was very fitting for the scenes. There were just one or two places where a character had no dialogue as their mouth was moving, but otherwise, it was great! It makes me even sadder that there won't be more...

Dawn: Ooh, you were very good! Besides at the very beginning (your breathing went pufting up against the mike), the rest was well done in quality and emotion!

Dawn's mom: I can safely say it's a lot better than who TAJ found to play her. Very nice work!

Narrator: Pretty good. The enuncition or words could use some work, but it sounded well enough.

Prof. Rowan: Whoa, he sounded almost exactly like the dub version! Very well done, and well-acted, to boot!

Pokemon: It's pretty freaky to think that besides Piplup, I voice every Pokemon in that clip. With Piplup, I would have liked to hear a bit of a sharper edge with it, if you get me, but it beats TAJ's version by a mile. The others, I think I at least did a good job making them sound distinct. Chatot, even just for trilling, needs the most work. Chimchr was the best, but Turtwig and Glameow turned out nicely, too.

I can't stress how much of a shame it is we won't get more; I really wanted to see the lab mayhem in action...

Wow. For the first fandub, that was EXTREMELY well done. For a second there I forgot I was watching a fandub. The lip flaps matched so well, as did the music and sound effects.

Sachibelle in particular did an amazing job as Dawn. Sounded almost exactly like the VA from the dub. Dare I say she did an even better job.

A great first fandub. I look forward to seeing more in the future!

I can't stress how much of a shame it is we won't get more; I really wanted to see the lab mayhem in action...

I have been thinking about maybe doing that last 3 minutes (when Ash appears) of the episode after my Naruto fandub if that makes you feel any better. =/ sorry.

this was a nice fandub, i've gotta say. (so, i finally get to see some of your work in action, eh? Nikko?)

Sachibelle/Dawn: even though i dont like the D&P series of pokemon, you did very well at this character, i believe the acting and energy and even the voice was great for this character. all i have to say is that your first 2 lines with the sighing and the kinda waking up noises, it sounded like some puffs got in there aswell. thats all that really bugged me about your performance, the rest of the lines were great.

Scarlotte/Dawn's mom-Piplup-Merion: i thought you did very well in this clip aswell, nothing really to critique here. its just that my younger sister (who is a pokemon fanatic) said that your Piplup was a little off (like the way you said it didnt sound right to her). thats all i really have to say here

Bivinz/Narrator: well, as far as Narrators go, you did well.

Shift/the other pokemon: well, i hate critqing pokemon voices....well, you were great as the pokemon. (idno what they're supposed to sound like, but from your take on it, it sounded fine to me)

Thatkid22/Prof. Rowen: ehh...to me, you could've sounded a little older, more mature and old guy sounding. but it was a nice try, i have to admit.

Nikko14/Noodle cook: well, you were made to cook noodles! there, thats as much as i can critique, haha.

Mixing: the mixing was pretty well done. i've gotta say.

continue fandubbing, your doing great. ( i cant say do more, cuz i dont like anything after the first Season of pokemon, haha, but do more? i guess, hahaha.)

P.S. i'm hoping that "Naruto fandub" you speak of is coming out soon >.>

Thank you guys! I didn't know how you guys were gonna react to the mixing and Im glad that its good enough to get positive feedback on it (Unless you guys are lieing! > haha)

And Lionfayt. I can't work on it at all today because im going skiing But I still have 4 days before school. We'll see how far i get.

Sachibelle (Dawn)- I loved your Dawn voice! It sounded jsut like the dub! The only problem I really had was the very first line where you were to make a bunch of groaning noises. Like the other people mentioned, there were some puffs. I did ask you to redo them but you never sent me any >_< But otherwise nice emotion!

Scarlotte (Dawn's mom, Merion, Piplup)- You are such an amazing VA! Your Mom voice was exactly what I imagined for the character. And unlike the dub voice, you had emotion! Merion's voice was pretty good too. It sounded a lot like Merion's sister Lillian from the Battle Frontier Saga. The Piplup voice was good too. Im glad you decided to listen to the japanese voice since i can't stand its dub voice.

Shift (Chimchar, Turtwig, Glameow, Chatot)- Yay pokemon voices! You have quite a large range in voices. You should do more pokemon fandubs! Nothing much to critique here. Otherwise, Nice, I liked your Chimchar voice the most

Thatkid22 (Prof. Rowen)- Sounded just like the dub! I liked it! It didn't sound forced or anything. Nice work!

Nikko14 (Noodle shop guy)-Bahahahahaa I didn't spend very much time picking a voice for him. but yeah...... It sounded like a generic 4kids minor character voice....

Mixing- I really liked the music i choose, I felt that it fit the scenes well. It was pretty hard because none of the Pokemon D&P OST has been released except some of the movie versions of songs (The only original music from the clip is the music used when Dawn's Mom first enters Dawn's Room) so yeah. I felt that Piplup's voice was to loud and I should have quieted it down. And the bike noise was pretty annoying.... So yeah.

I think, after watching it, that I could have imitated the American Narrator a bit more by doing the thing deeper, but it's been awhile and I don't really remember my mindset while dubbing it.

Bivinz (Narrator)- You had a decent voice for the narrator. It didn't sound like the dub one but it was still good! You were my savior afterall
