Em...Catholics are supposed to not eat red meat on ash wednesday, good friday as far as I know. It may be every friday in lent for a few but I've never heard of someone not eating red meat for all of lent before.

(Also I'd just like to state that anyone who compares/lumps together The Davinci Code and The Golden Compass is just making an ass of themselves. Just sayin'.)

I would actually argue that, seeing as how both stirred up major controversy among the same group of people for the same reasons, my comparison was very reasonable. I never said they were similar other than that basic premise. I was also pretty fair and unbiased in my remarks, soooo.... I fart in your general direction, sir

Nah, it's for every Friday in lent. I used to date a Catholic It's just that not all Catholics follow this practice.
