Hmm I have to disagree with the Wendee Lee thing. She wasn't the perfect Haruhi, but the only person I've seen nail Haruhi in English is Christina Vee. Wendee was close at least, she had spunk and attitude in her voice, which grew on me.

I don't know how she'll do as Konata, so I'm a tad worried but I'm sure they wouldn't have chosen her if they didn't think she would be good for it.

Wendee might actually be a very fitting Konata and the other cast will most likely do very well too. I'd give it a chance before actually saying it will be ruined

Konata is a much more sarcastic and mature-thinking character than Haruhi and Wendee Lee can pull off that type of character quite well.

I know many of you are a little tired of Wendee, but she has surprised me in the past before, so even though she didn't do as well with Haruhi as we all hoped, I'm willing to give her Konata a chance.

Yeah. I actually think Wendee got better in the last volume of Haruhi, so she could probably do well with Konata in some sense. Look at the lady that plays Naruto, she's awful if you see the early episodes but got better as the dub went on, so really that's how it is with everything.

Though I wasn't thrilled with Wendee's portrayal of Haruhi, I think Konata will be a better fit. Konata's voice is sort of... lower and throatier (it's hard to explain but you guys know what I mean) and doesn't require such HYPER ENERGY (that combined with the higher pitch was what contributed to her Haruhi sounding unnatural, IMO.) The eccentric way Konata talks is a bit hard to carry over into English, but with a good director, it should be fine, not to mention she is a very very experienced VA.

Although. I still wish the show was non-union so I could audition/do extras, since it's being dubbed by BangZoom and all XDDDD
