I made this up a few months ago, and I was torn between titles.
"Tell me", "Tell me to smile in pain", "cursed", "tangled web", and I still don't know which suits it better!
I made this originally a fan-poem to an anime, but took it and made it more original.

Things will change

I will really be loved someday

I am not useless

I can make you happy somehow.
While making me happy too.
I am weak, it is an easy bargain for you.
But you already know that.
So helpless and lost,
a child wandering away from home.
With no idea of how to handle things,
you came along, taking me away.
A new land, an unknown and new adventure.
Things I've never seen before.
Things I've never felt before.
Emotions swirled in a whirlwind of colors,
will it destroy us in the end?
But know,
If you are happy, I will be happy too.
Even if I get hurt in the process.
Tell me.
Would you be happy if I go away?
Through pain, then, I will smile with you distantly.
To know you are happy somewhere,
even without me.
It makes me feel better to know
you can sleep at night.
I only wish that together, we could both be happy.
And know,
though you are controlling,
I still only will think of you the best in my heart.
Two years bad luck comes along,
every two years.
What was it that made this time so terrifying for me?
Know now,
For eight years I have been under this curse.
Four dear friends I have lost through time.
Tell me,
Will you even know my name next year?
Or will I be a lost face in the crowded crossroads?
Who will know until we collide unnaturally,
just like how we started out.
I know my heart has entangled a fierce web around my thoughts of you.
If I saw you again, it would drown me with my own tears.
Tell me,
is this really who we wanted to be today?
