VA Pet Peeves

Well I know that, but I just see it as a waste of time if you don't get anything at all after something like that.

Y'know. For this particular peeve of yours.. when I had auditions up for Host Club SO LONG AGO, I had asked Lucien if he could audition for it since I know he doesn't usually go out of his way to audition for fandub.

I had known that I wanted him to be Tamaki, but I still left auditions open anyway to see if I could find any new talent who could have swayed my decision. And well, I didn't, so Lucien got the part anyway.

After that people got mad AT ME for casting Lucien. e.e;

So it turns out asking people to audition always blows up in someone's face, whether it be the producer's or the auditionee's.

THOUGH. I do understand what you're saying, Sukisho. It can be seen as a waste of time, but you kind of can't tell what a producer's motivation/creative license is for that kind of stuff. And if anything, you can not cast that person if they audition for your next project out of spite (:

This actually happened to me, it was really odd.

I pretty much agree with the pet peeves so far. I would also like to emphasize that I hate, hate, hate when people don't know what a deadline is needed for. Or just have no deadline at all. I mean, come ON, if you're that clueless about when you want auditions to end, then it sounds like you're clueless about the production as well. Why not come back and ask for auditions when you're serious about the production, hm?

OH, and I also dislike it when I see signatures with "RECENTLY CAST AS BLAH BLAH BLAH". It seems WAY too cocky to me. I know some people who do it don't mean to sound cocky and arrogant, but that's just how it looks.

When people post lousy stuff, and commenters sugarcoat it.

And when someone DOES post constructive crits, they can't handle it.

Yeah, and when people only reply to good comments with thank yous but the constructive critiques get ignored.

And people who don't even listen to them and do the exact same no-no from the last cover.
AND "oh sorry i couldnt find the faq lolz my bad"

And I dunno if it happens anymore, but I hated it when people used to post projects in the request forum and would ask who has a certain MP3 in the request forum. It was funny at first but then it was like "... 'Kay... Y'all fail..."

I think I repeated a couple that are already here, though. Sorry.

Me too. And things like "Unofficial voice of XX" or "The XX of the internet" blah. It's dumb. For reasons that I won't list cause I've already sinned by double posting.

I think that' s just cause most of the new people don't know where and/or maybe how to make a website to keep that stuff on. Then again I haven't bothered to update mine anymore, who really looks at an AVA resume?
