All right, gonna have to throw in another vote for deadlines after going through some attractive project pitches. Please, please, please, think ahead and set one. This is a fansite. Directors need to draw some good solid lines for good solid productions. If a newbie 12 year-old boy has the perfect voice for your twelve year-old boy character what's to say he'll be around in six months when you finally find your gruff mentor and spunky girl?
We at the big kid's table would like to know in a month or less if a project has any hope of going forward. It's not the cancelling of projects that hurts; it's the waiting, the uncertainty, and the doubt.
I've done projects where the lines are basically the audition (less than 7 lines). That's a wee bit different because it requires none of the VA's patience. Their job is essentially done. If any additional work is to be required, please set a reasonable deadline and (if it's your style) a period for casting and redos. thank you.
