    All right, gonna have to throw in another vote for deadlines after going through some attractive project pitches. Please, please, please, think ahead and set one. This is a fansite. Directors need to draw some good solid lines for good solid productions. If a newbie 12 year-old boy has the perfect voice for your twelve year-old boy character what's to say he'll be around in six months when you finally find your gruff mentor and spunky girl?

    We at the big kid's table would like to know in a month or less if a project has any hope of going forward. It's not the cancelling of projects that hurts; it's the waiting, the uncertainty, and the doubt.

    I've done projects where the lines are basically the audition (less than 7 lines). That's a wee bit different because it requires none of the VA's patience. Their job is essentially done. If any additional work is to be required, please set a reasonable deadline and (if it's your style) a period for casting and redos. thank you.

    Grandma: It's too hot in here! Why don't you turn on the fan? *turns on*
    Me: I can't hear over it. I need to record and listen closely. *turns off*
    Grandma: It's not that loud. It won't bother you! *turns on*
    Me: Yes it is! *turns off*
    Grandma: No it's not!! *turns on* And leave the door open! *makes noise in kitchen*

    Omfg... =_=

    This may sound odd, but I have a big pet peeve for people sending me auditions via PM. This is especially the case if the audition has an upcoming deadline. I have my contact information on my profile, if you want a prompt reply send your audition via Skype or email! I have missed a couple auditions because the director didn't bother to do that.

    Waiting for my new music packs to arrive so I can finally start composing, but it takes SO FREAKING LOOONG!
    Plus, I don't have the best enunciation. Thing is, I hear from others that my enunciation isn't good, but can't hear the mistakes myself.....

    Upstairs neighbors are always either partying or having band practice. People move in and out of here like crazy, but of course it's these neighbors that seem to have stayed for good. On the plus side, I never procrastinate anymore - I really want to record when it's nice and quiet.

    More of a producer peeve but going through demoreels for pretty average voices but all of the voices are very cartoon-like. Despite how normal the voices should be, they're surprisingly the most difficult to cast. Even if a person puts "Name Year Demoreel", it's not really showing much of their natural voice and now people even seem to make a fun voice with that part. It's not all about having an animated voice so that really gets to me.

    Same with me ; ;. Except, my natural accent is American and I don't miss out on words XD. I talk so fast that usually when I do something that doesn't follow lip flaps, I have to do redos because the producer couldn't really understand me. Even when not voice acting, one of my friends pointed out that I (and my family) talk super fast. OR MAYBE EVERYONE JUST TALKS SUPER SLOW QQ.

    I want to do something to be a calm distraction during this hectic time period of my life, so I write a script... and lose it because my laptop hates me and I wrote it in Notepad. I like the super-simplicity of Notepad 'cause I just do and it's not like there's a whole lot of formatting work, but that lack of auto-recover is annoying and I've yet to develop a saving habit in anything but video games. S'not like I wrote much, but still.
