Am I the only person who hates when you put up an audition thread and you get those days, sometimes weeks, of pure silence and you really really wanna start listening to auds? Anyone? Bleh...darn you impatience.

All the time. Happening with me right now. Everything just seems quiet. What I don't like though is when you get auditions for almost every character but one. It's quite annoying.
Hmm pet peeves? How inconsistent Audacity can be. Sometimes it works fine and brilliant. The next day it kind of makes your voice sound robotic or whatever. It's annoying -_-
I hate when people sugar-coat on me. I don't need your pity.
People not putting a E-mail on a audition. Or have one on there info. I want to try out but there is no way for me to send you the line!!!!!!![]()
I just went through this very thing, most annoying.
Funny thing is, I got some of the best auditions at the last minute. Maybe good actors just happen to have found it late, or maybe producing a production demo persuaded them to put in an audition.
Now, for my pet peeve. When you get enough auditions to fill all but the villainous roles with good actors, and the actors left over don't suit the remaining roles.
Voice actors, declaring themselves available for scouting, not having the courtesy to send back a response to a scout saying "not interested" when some time was clearly taken to present them with all the information available that they might need to make a decision.
This kind of attitude is an excellent way to ensure I won't consider an actor for scouting again. Heck, this kind of attitude might get an actor put at the bottom of the list of auditions when someone else who is just as good auditions.
Finally getting a project rolling after several long months of nothing but answering questions and recast after recast.
And not hearing back from several VA's.
They confirmed and responded to every email I sent, up until I gave a deadline for the first section. Now they've just dropped off the face of the earth.
This happens to me quite a lot that I have made a thread about this before. It's like they are too good to respond to your scouts. But they have the most time in the world to leave comments on other people's work. That's not a good excuse to ignore someone. A simple "no" would be better so they can let you know you can look for someone else. They need to stop wasting people's time.
