Short answer: I'm very picky. Long answer: several factors. A) I hate the show they're dubbing B) the show they're doing is already dubbed and I think it'd be a waste of time to do it again C) the producer's mixing skill isn't up to par, or D) it's a youtube fandub which is to me the VA equivalent of a black hole.

Also, you have to consider that I have classes, work and other obligations that come first."

So I actually see nothing wrong with that mentality. Maybe it's not 'nice' when it reaches the point of arrogance, but on the other side of things, it's better that no one wastes anyone's time in the end.
Well in that situation it's different in someways. You have your like's and dislikes. Nothing wrong with that. Me personally, I agree with a few. The only slight thing is what you mentioned, when it hits the focal point and becomes the "Im better, your not, go suck a keyboard" phase. Or rather when it becomes known. Then the "bitch" as we shall call it comes out and it snowballs from there. What I was referring to is when it gets to/already the "bitch" point and people act like snoobs to others, and what not. Good point in bringing that up.

Totally agree. But I also think turning down a role "politely" shows a lot of class. Especially when it's being offered from an inexperienced director/producer who obviously respects your work.

Everyone starts somewhere, and while more experienced actors are under no obligation to act as role models, showing a little patience doesn't cost anything.

So anyway, a peeve . . . my dog snoring at my feet while I'm trying to record lines.
Check one-two on the microphone . . . samples are HERE.

People who call you up from Newgrounds to do a flash project, and don't bother to look that I prefer emails because I don't check Newgrounds as often as other places!

This already happened to me once, and although I didn't miss much on the last project I missed, I'm sure as hell not gonna have it again.

One thing that sort of crawls under my skin for some odd reason, when people title their fandubs or something of the like with the original japanese title. When it clearly already has an english translation that probably makes more sense.

It really isn't that much of a deal but it just gets to me o.O
