See how reading this gets tiresome, because it’s riddled with the same thing? Yeah…
Oh wow, I was just thinking about this =D

I'm not one to talk over and over and over again- but I will admit that I post peeve's more than once D: Usually just 'cause like...either it keeps on happening so it renews the frustration- or when I post the first time, nobody notices/relates/complains with me, (misery loves company) so when it happens again I feel the need to post hoping somebody will care ' (am I that starved for attention?? Must...resist...self....hatred)

Though another peeve I have at the moment is like...someone joins the forum the same time you did, and they're already being cast in a bunch of roles while you're still failing epicly =X

I haven't AVA'd in about two years, and even back then I was still inexperienced. I'm trying to get back into it though! I have a logitech USB mic, so if quality is what you need, I got it covered!

This is more of a producer peeve, but ARGH! I'm trying to get everything set up for my first ever fandub, and I found the episode in AMAZING quality in .mkv format =.= So I download a program that says it's capable of opening these files..

    Well.. It didn't lie, but it can't support the audio track. Oh. My. God. I feel like watching the site crash and burn. ;-;

EDIT: Fixed my problem, but a new one arises... The audio is late... ;-; Doesn't match the video in some spots... Gr.

    This.

I needn't say anymore. You've said it all for me. XD

When events out of your control prevent you from turning in your lines and thus force you to give up the part. Prime example- Mic randomly breaking+ having no replacement or money.

Oh no, that is completely different from what I was listing as a pet peeve.

I was more so referring to the self-centered douche bags that find the time to talk about them, them, always them, theirs, mine and I. It turns me off when they do that every time you see them. It makes their work and what they do unattractive and makes them unapproachable, I find. Because, that’s all they EVER talk about. It’s a little frustrating.

It is especially hard to try and take them seriously, making it even harder to work with them. Why can’t they just let their work speak for itself? They claim they don’t have an ego, but by the way they like to talk about themselves, it’s pretty apparent that they do. Then they ridicule your performance after all is said and done. Worst of all their acting is mediocre at best, the same level of voice acting as you.

Uh, again... W.T.F? Seriously, do they want to get beaten up? I feel like saying, “Please stop, you’re making my ears bleed.” As harsh as that is, the fact of the matter is you have to ask if they are voice acting/producing for all the right reasons. They like trolling for the attention. And it becomes pretty apparent too.

Another pet peeve of mine is my rotten bad luck I am having running into these types of individuals on a freakin’ constant basis. I’m practically ripping out my hair there! The least they could do is try and be supportive of the other va/producers with encouraging comments, not blatantly bringing them down to make themselves feel better.

    That’s just wrong!

I think we all do at one point of another. There are a jack full of people in any form of media or workplace. If someone egotistical thinks they're the best at what they do, then more than likely, they'll become narcissistic about it.

Pet Peeve: Trusting your VAs you know personally to turn in lines at a reasonable time, but then life gets all funky on them and then I have to post-pone production. D:

Voice actors, who OBVIOUSLY need help...and a lot of help at that...with their voice acting, that think they're too great for critiques because they are supposedly "pro" or like to think they are. I mean, even professionals like Vic Mignogna need a little critiquing every now and then. Right Vic? Especially when the person isn't really..."pro" material seeing as though they have no original voices what so ever. Then again, who am I to judge?

Not being able to get Riley from the Boondocks' voice down. It's making me re-think this fandub. I HAVE IT...I just don't...HAVE it... =/

Producers who decide to recast EVERYONE in their project and pretty much play the characters themselves. I saw that...and I was like "The fuck..." I'm glad I wasn't in that project. Eh.

People saying that they only sing in Japanese. I honestly don't get how...you are American born...yet...you can only sing in Japanese. That makes no sense to me. At all. Either you're just too obsessed with anime...or...

Haha, also, the fact that there are not that many "African American" voice actors on the VAA. When I need a random ghetto dude in a fandub, where are my random black actors at? XD

Peeve: when I'm looking at the characters in an audition thread and there's one that sounds really awesome and has all the info (voice sounds like this, age is this, does this), and then at the bottom you see "cast: me".

And it's not even that I have anything against self-casting; on the contrary, I'm all for it, but then why not mention that above the character list in the project description so that we know that going in, or just not put the character with the available roles?

It just gets my hopes up...
