    I'm sure someone has posted this before, but I just have to say it.

    I hate when people "feel bad" for "rejecting" people who auditioned, and so they feel obligated to pity-cast (I dunno, I just made up the term). This is a clear indication of the unprofessionalism going on. If you can't cast someone who's more fit for the role because you "wanna give everyone a chance" or whatever, you aren't doing what's best for your project as a whole.

    I don't know why people feel guilty about casting the best of the best. I would expect no less from any producer, as people have to learn how to deal with rejection. ESPECIALLY those aspiring to go pro. GEEZ!

    Okay I'm done. Sorry.

    I utterly hate getting the urge to record only at times when I know I SHOULDN'T be recording. Like at midnight when the folks are asleep.

    And then when I do actually have the house to myself for full range recording time.. I don't do it.

    bleh.

    omg yes. I'm like that. >> and I hate it.

    I hate it when voice actors ask the producer for critiques and then they start arguing because they didn't like the crits >.> I mean seriously, you're either dumb or stupid because first, you have no right on other person's opinion and secondly, you will have a very little chance of getting cast because you have annoyed the producer with your whining.

    This happened to me and I didn't even concider that person when I casted my project.

    You're never really supposed to like critiques. They basically point out what you suck at an should improve r_r; But they're more helpful than anything if you want to get better at things.

    Well, for me, i love it when i get critiques... i just dont get it when people dont like em o.O;

    I hate it when people say that they think that they did a good job at immitating some voice actor / actress when they didnt really...what am i supposed to say back to them? i really dont wanna burst their bubble but that makes me think of them like as if they dont have a good taste at comparing voices <.<;;

    I also love critiques. It's so much better to hear a firm "you did good" or a "I don't think you're quite right for this role" rather than just sitting there wondering "Did I do a good job? Do they hate me? Is there a chance I'll get that role? I NEED TO KNOW!!!"

    I think one of the pet peeves that I have found is that when I find an audition where the producer is looking for voice actors to sound exactly like their English or Japanese counterpart. I don't mind trying to sound close to the original source, but I like to leave some of the voice cues up to interpretation.
    That's what makes voice acting fun.

    I don't like recording during late hours as well, it realy proves to be a hindrance when the line requires you to shout or scream. ^^;; But, the majority of the time it's the only time I can get lines recorded.

    I use my dad's work computer for line recording because the sound card is very much superior to my own obsolete piece-o'-junk (when I recorded lines on my computer I seldom got parts, but since switching to my dad's I've been much luckier!). But it is his shiny new *work* computer, so that limits my recording opportunities.

    I find I'm at my most creative in the wee hours of the morning, eheh (and not just with voice acting)... ^^; Especially so when I have to get up early in the morning! Sleep deprivation FTW?! :B
