    When you record audition lines for a fandub, you'd like to be in. You record an original take on a character voice instead of imitating an official voice because you feel you can do an original take and the director mentions that original takes are accepted and appreciated. After you record and give it to the person making the fandub, you get critiqued on your work which is not the problem but then you record audition lines again and again to give the person making the fandub what he wants by taking his critiques into consideration but the director becomes way too picky and tells you to change so much that he acts like a hypocrite and instead of accepts something original, he critiques so much that it becomes too picky and wants you to pull off a voice that is beyond what you can do and when you do try again, it doesn't sound original anymore.

    Yeah, I'm late...

    You don't have to see how I find it...that's just how it is for me. Basically...it's similar to what everyone else said. Label your thread/audio file as such. It becomes very redundant very quickly to hear, "Hi! This is [name] and this is my [year] demo reel! Hope you like it!" It would be like listening to a music album and the singer introduces every song before it starts. I saw the name when I clicked it. When I'm listening, I assume it's the voice of the one who posted it.
    In the professional sense, agents and casting directors don't have the time or patience. You have one minute (even a minute and thirty seconds is too long nowadays). You introduce yourself in your cover letter/email/cd label that comes with the demo. If there is a slate, at all, it would be no more than your first and last name, said normally.

    So for AVAing purposes, if you HAVE to have your info in your demo, have it at the end, I would say.

    Mm.

    Mm. Preach.

    I know personally that if I was sent a demo with a bunch of fat at the beginning I'd rule them out right away in casting.

    Planning out your recording and mixing for the week and then getting a call from your agent about an audition that's like...not gonna happen. As much as I love film, if the appointment is going to be a hassle it's so fucking annoying because it'll disrupt my week.

    I have to go through the motions and ask my friends if they have roller skates for this role. I put a message on Facebook. If nothing turns up (and nothing will) I'm sending them an email tomorrow morning saying I'll pass.

    Having only an hour to record and spending most of that time trying to reboot your computer after a crash... oh, and losing the lines you recorded at the same time...

    Technology can really be a bitch.

    Being distracted by possible phlegm i'm finding difficult to cough up. I'm just hacking all over the place to get the feeling out.

    Waking up at 7:30 a.m. to record from now until 3 p.m. (when brother gets home) only for there to be construction or something that involves LARGE BEEPING TRUCKS THAT DON'T STOP BEEPING on the street. For hours. And still no sign of stopping. RAAGE. D;
