Super Mario Bros. 3 -- Never Koop a Koopa

I started working on this thing in 2005, and as with everything I do, it took me two years to complete it. Not because I put a lot of hard work and effort, God no. I mean, I don't think I did a bad job on it, but it's not my best. Anyway, this is a fandub of "Never Koop a Koopa" from the Super Mario Bros. 3 animated series. It couldn't have been finished at a better time, seeing as the series is going to be released on DVD this tuesday!

A few notes, however. I added a bunch of names to the cast-list, such as Nikki's, Ben's, Rika's, etc. Basically people I use in my stuff normally but aren't in this. I just wanted my cast list to flow rather than just be five names on there.

Secondly, this marks my friend's voice acting debut as Peach!

Third, yes, my Bowser sucks. I desperately searched for someone to play Bowser for me, and that's the reason I didn't finish this in 2005 OR 2006. I finally swallowed my pride and did Bowser's voice myself, even though it's vile. If I ever do any Mario-related productions ever again, I'll have to cast a new Bowser.

*scratches head and looks around* Yeah sorry about that >_> I do find it kinda funny though I found the clip and script to this the other day and was wonderng what happened to it..glad to see I didn't totally kill it. Though I do think you did better then I would have, *still watching* this came out pretty good.

I would have prefered Mario and Luigi kept their original Brooklyn accents since that's how they had them in the cartoons. But even so, it was very enjoyable and worth the time and effort you put in. Congrats to you and your VA cast on a job well done

And man does Bowser look bad in that cartoon.

Dub was awesome!
I loved how Mario and everyone sounded similar to the new voices from the recent games.

The whole point of the dub was to give the Mario Bros. their "updated" Mario voices. :p

Nice work people! I actually didn't mind the Bowser you did! His acting was very good ... it's just that the voice should have been lower. I'm not sure how much of the sound effects you mixed in yourself and how much is from the original clip ... but the whole mixing was very smooth. It actually really sounded like an original episode! The whole cast was great too!

Mario: I had to get used to the accent at first because it sounded a bit "unnatural" to me. Of course it's a fake accent but even a fake accent can be brought as if it's natural. But to be honest I got used to it and when I listen to it a second time I found nothing wrong with it anymore. The pitch and acting was done very nice!

Peach: Nicely done! I'm not sure what the real voice sounds like but yours fitted perfectly. Nice acting too!

Luigi: Ha, I actually thought you did a good job, go figure! Seriously though you did good! I liked your accent

Toad: Nicely done too! I couldn't hear that it was the same voice that did bowser! I loved the bit where you were underwater and tried to say something

Bowser: Apart from the voice not really fitting the character, I thought you acted him very well! No complaints!

Larry: An anoying voice for an anoying kid. Don't get me wrong though, you've played the voice for that anoying kid well! I'm not saying your voice is anoying itself ... or I actually am ... but you know what I mean haha.
