I teach (no wai) music and theatre at a High School level. My first day at the school I teach at now, I waited at one of the student desks and pretended to be a student for a while...really didn't work, but a few people fell for it.
I currently get to stay late at rehearsals for the show that I'm directing Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead!

Let's give it another go, shall we?

~_~ Everyone else's jobs seem so much more noble than mine. I'm the neighborhood pet walker/trainer/sitter. And on the weekends I sing (with my boyfriend on guitar) at a honky tonk. It's really not that bad (the more morals you lose, the better the tips), but if I have to sing 'Before He Cheats' one more time, I'll kill.

I started a tiny design business with 2 of my friends last year and we do things from photoshoots to just sitting at home photoshopping all day to starting websites for budding companies, depending on the client. It's just a small business though since we're still amateurs compared to the professionals out there, of course, but some new or small companies like to find amateur designers like us to start off their business so they don't have to pay as much.

Other than that, I don't work because I'm a total sucker for doing well in school and I take up literally the whole day with schoolwork.

EDIT: I lied, I did work for half a year last year tutoring French, and for the other half tutoring English and Japanese. But not anymore.

Anyway, I came back to this thread to ask if anyone had employment experience with either Wal-Mart or Costco; I hear the latter is a "good" company to work for, but that both pay decently. When I relocate for the fall, I can get into either very easily - should I take the opportunity?

Otherwise, there are other places I can work as well~

I'd love to trade with part-timers, if it meant I'd have more time for myself. I adore my job, but I barely have time for my own things

Full time at customer service desk at a local grocery store chain, till about two weeks ago, when I quit because I'm going to college this fall.
Unfortnately, I live in a predominantly hispanic neighborhood (cheap rental district), so 65% of the customers didn't speak English. And I know zippo for Spanish. Go me.

So do I. This is the only time I'm able to have a full-time job..

Don't take things so seriously. I wouldn't add a =D if I was insulting people.

Hee, I can kind of explain Walmart, since I live in Bentonville. (Home of Walmart, with all the lovely Walmart tourists coming, and stuff) If you want an easy training job, then go with it, if you are doing the register work. It usually takes about a week, and then you're set. However, you usually have to start at the bottom and work your way up. XD;; My stepmom has been working at the home office for almost 20 years, and she is just now getting a good pay. XD;; Overall, they are usually fair with paying genders equally, and they do have good pay.

I hope that helps a teeny bit. I just felt I had to butt in, since I live in Bentonville. @_@

Well in the summer for part-timers, I know the Costco near me is paying $11/hour. That doesn't really help but, hey, I know something!
