    Matt A: DON'T DROP THAT SHIT FOR RETAIL DUDE. JUST DON'T DO IT. YOU CAN NEVER GO BAAAACK.

    Kei: Do they still have that training video with the rap song?

    Cruea: Hook me up, bitch!

    Chinomi: at like....Walgreens? Or at an actual printer store? XD

    Jaela: When does GPA ever factor into getting a job? Explain.

    Fairuza: I don't think I'd want to work there, but when I worked downtown I used to run over and get myself a Cheese and Egg panini every day Now they've shipped me off to the suburbs and there is NOTHING.

    Li: Stay home mommy is a hard job ;_; *patpat*

    Azure: What tourist attraction? GOOD TO SEE THAT DEGREE GOING TO GOOD USE, SOLDIER. (I stood history as a major for like three months before dropping out of school entirely. That's how much it pissed me off.)

    Windy: Don't worry about the food service thing: My past few jobs included Argo Tea and Subway. Kind of wanted to kill myself when I was growing up! Also, I agree that stay home mommy sounds about as nice as stay home wifey. I have a stay home wifey and when she isn't working two days a week as a pastry chef, she's doing cleaning stuff and making food. Its hard, but at least she only has to deal with me as her boss XD XD XD

    And my job, which I have to to verrrry soon, is Head of Customer Service and Internet Shipping for a major European tea retailer. Which is actually fancy for I ANSWER PHONES AND TELL PEOPLE WHAT KIND OF TEA TO BUY FROM OUR SMALL AMERICAN DISTRIBUTOR.

    It's a pretty sweet job, except recently they decided to move to a warehouse out in the burbs. It means a lot of bike riding and an hour on the trains and in the end I get no sleep/time to do anything ;_;

    SPEAKING OF WORK, TIME FOR WORK.

    I'm an English teacher -- assuming that things don't end up going wrong, in which case I'll become a NEET again. (Hopefully I won't become a NEET, though.)

    I guess people around here don't want to hire kids who aren't good students, unless said kids want to work in fast food, the mere thought of which makes me nauseous. Also, I'm 16, and some places don't hire until you're 18.
    Someone told me I could get a job bagging at the grocery store, but when I checked they weren't hiring. NOT HIRING! A freaking GROCERY STORE! That's probably never happened in the history of corporate America! ;_;
    Maybe all of this means something. Maybe it's just not meant to be for me to get a job, and I should seriously reconsider art school. Especially since my aforementioned GPA cancels out most chances of scholarship.
    Whoa... mini wal of text? Sorry for ranting and being emo. I'll stop now.

    Everyone asks me that, but I've never seen it and no one that I work with remember a rap video at orientation. :/

    I was working for Shoe Carnival as an in-store announcer....

    I quit twice because I ended up getting sick both times. Believe it or not, they called me back the second time, and asked me to come back. I am now a Shoe Carnival living legend.

    Need a solid voice actor to fill that role you just can't seem to cast? I'm your Final Fantasy!

    But... employers don't look at GPA when hiring people. o.O;

    Or they shouldn't, since it has absolutely nothing to do with job performance and ability.

    Well, they do here for whatever crazy reason. I guess they believe that if you slack off in school, you'll slack off on the job, or something along those lines.
    However, if they'd just look at my IQ instead, they'd maybe understand that I'm not a slacker, I'm just bored to tears in school.
    "Gifted" students have the highest drop-out rate, y'know.

    I looooove how talking about real jobs makes the forum members so depressed sounding XD;

    But to add to the mood, I work at a crappy 'Italian' pizza place/family restaurant as a waitress. As unsocial as I am, go figure, but I've been working there for almost a year now. Gosh.

    I really want to quit since getting $3.90 an hour when I only work 7 hours, 1 day a week really isn't worth it. Plus the tips can be really shitty most days. Unfortunately, finding a job around here SUCKS and seems to be impossible. THough maybe, now that I almost have a year of job experience under my belt, places will be more lenient with me >>
