I did a search on this section in the forums, and nothing similar came up, so I thought I might put it up ^^

Audio books are designed for people with vision problems, but I like listening to them coz I can do something else while listening to my favorite books~

What do you think about Audio Books?

PS if there IS a similar topic i might have missed, feel free to request lock XD

I LOVE audio books, and might have an opportunity to record one sometime professionally, thanks to my dad who is AWESOME. =)
Sometimes I'm in the mood to listen to someone reading to me, so I'll pop in a CD. Sometimes the people who record them are REALLY talented. If you've ever listened to the Harry Potter audio books, you know what I mean.
David Sedaris's stuff is like a million times funnier when read aloud.
Same for Bill Bryson, who reads his own recordings.
In Tuesdays With Morrie, there's a special recording of Morrie's actual voice at the end of the tape, which you wouldn't have gotten otherwise.
I also particularly enjoy the Chronicles of Narnia series as presented by Focus on the Family. Very entertaining. =)
    Anyone else have favorites?

    You tell 'em, Edgeworth.

What is this "Moe Factor" you speak of? Hmmmm...

I've thought about doing audio versions of some of my favorite books, but not like the completely narrative ones, I mean like, full voice cast and production and music and all that good stuff.

I love audio books, as well. They're great for long car trips when you can't read.... listening to it is just as good! It's like story time at the library when I was a kid! *nostalgia.....*

Yeah. Sometimes, if it's a book from a series, I'll have read it with a certain voice in mind, so it takes time to get used to the narrator.... but it's all good, usually. I don't listen to a lot of them, though, because I read soooooo much faster than they talk... >_>

My first voice acting was doing audio books. I absolutely love them. :3 I would buy them more often, but they're generally way more expensive than books. ;_; But they're really quite fun and a great way to actually hear the characters...besides inside your head. XD

Doing an audio book like a radioplay would be neat actually.
