    I have a few, but I'd rather not do my own production until ORES is finished. You pick.

    Actually... Im thinking of doing the Alex Rider books *is obsessed with the AR series* but maybe we should start with something less complicated, maybe a short kid's book. Any suggestions?

    Back to topic:
    I only listen to books that ive read before, first reason is that i know what its about and know whats going on, second is that it can give me a whole new perspective of the book - instead of reading it with that voice in your read, you listen to it through another person's voice and acting, which is quite interesting.

    its getting late here... I am not making any sense ^^; (hope you get what i mean)

    I think that would be a great starter! Maybe just a chapter or something at first and then keep going.

    That made total sense. I never actually thought about listening to a book that I've already read. I sort of come up with my own voices for the characters and if I read it and then listen to the audio book, I sometimes get thrown off. So it basically has to be one or the other for me. But now that I'm a bit more into voice acting, I think I definitely see your point of view.

    i might start an audio book production, but well... just get all the stuff of my new fandub sorted out first ^^;

    I liked how the readers of the audio books have a different point of view to the book than yours, and i never get tired listening to them... When i listen to an audio book again and again, I can actually picture a different setting of the scene everytime... for some weird reason.

    Getting other things sorted out first might be a good idea. ^^

    A different scene every time you hear it, eh? Hmm...I can see how that would work. I really need to listen to more audio books and I think hearing some of the audio books from some of the VAA peeps would be super awesome. Hearing their renditions of the characters from books sounds like a blast.

    Caitlin Davies who reads the audio books for House of Night is awesome! I mean the books are awesome too but it helps to have someone who can read them well too.
    A audio books can turn me off to a series simply because I will forever more hear all the characters' voices like that and if they have a bad voice actor well...
    But over all if the person reading it is descent then audio books are awesome!

    Right now I'm listening to Howl's Moving castle red by John Sessions which rocks because he's given Howl a Welsh accent.

    The Dark Materials audio books are also great, the narration is read by Phillip Pullman himself with a full cast doing the character voices.
    Where do you purchase your audio book from? Do you order online or check the local store for them? I'm feel rather shy in buying any audio books like 'the dark material' Can anybody recommand any good sites I can buy from?

    All of my serious books (as in great pieces of literature) I try to read myself. All fun books (anything Star Wars related or Warcraft related) I buy on Audible.com
