    ...They're really morbid if you think about it...xD Honestly I hear little kids singing songs like: Ring around the Rosie(about the black death), Three blind mice...(they kind of die...), Raining, Pouring, old man snoring song...(he dies tooDx)

    and little kid stories...Like the old lady who lived in a shoe...geez...xD

    Feel free to post your morbid nursery rhymes... It's fun...to think of how many there are...xD(does that make me twisted?)

    xD Whoot! I need a life...but whateve;D
    ummm does this belong on this board....?

    I remember that in the acutal Cinderella story, the ugly sisters slice parts of their feet off to try to fit into the show, and in the end, have their eyes pecked out by crows.

    I want to read the real, non-Disney fairy tales. They do seem very morbid and disturbing.

    It's called Ashenputel by the Brothers Grimm, Go buy some Brothers Grimm books if you want disturbing fairy tales. I love them! ^^;

    In the Snow White Grimm brothers story, Queen Hekate gets crushed to death under a pile of jewls while basking in them. Quite horrifying if you think about it, since the dwarves just kept throwing more jewls on to her pile of blood.

    Even better is we had to preform that scene on stage!

    All available evidence and research suggests Ring a Ring O'Roses (The original chant) was not linked to the plague until the 20th century. So it wasn't originally about the Black Death, it was the corrupted minds of more modern people who made it like that.

    XD I learned what that song meant in 7th grade. My teacher (she was really cool~) was like does anyone remember the "Ring Around the Rosie" nursery rhyme? And we all said yes and sang it then she told us what it meant.

    I don't think I can think of any other Nursery Rhymes with disturbing meanings to it.

    Does the mulberry bush one with the weasel have any odd meaning to it? o-O;; (Pop goes the weeeasel~!)
