I've had this problem since yesterday and after doing all the usual spyware/virus sweeps I'm totally out of possible solutions. For some reason when I try to connect via ftp with any of my ftp programmes to any of my hosts, I can't seem to get past "Retrieving Directory listing". They just seem to stop. Since I've tried connecting to different servers with different ftp programmes I know it's not a server issue. I've not installed or removed any programmes as far as I can remember.
I'm running windows 2000 and tend to use coffeecup or cuteftp for file transfers.
Help would be appreciated.
