  1. #1 Chrono Cross: A Promise Kept Part Two [Update: High Quality Versions Available]
Update: ZeaLitY at the Chrono Compendium was intriguged by the project and decided to feature it on the site. I made high quality versions of the files available to him (even the prequel to APK, Far Away Promise). Those interested in listening to all parts of the project in HQ, can go to the following link to find them:

    http://www.chronocompendium.com/Stories/43.html

    .........................................

Well at last Part Two, the final part to the series is finally done. Where we last left Serge, he Harle, Kid, and Glenn were about to begin their journey to find the Einlanzer and regain Serge's true body. Will these objectives be fufilled? And what is with Harle? She seems to have some sort of mysterious objective...

Meanwhile, Janus, Lucca, Crono, and Marle were under attack by one of their old aquaintances (the robot from the future known as "Robo"). Can they solve the mystery of his reprogramming?

    The answers lay within.

Now this RP is a long one but don't let that stop you from listening. I really am proud of the cast for helping me make this adaptation of the wonderful Chrono Series come to life and I want their hard work to be recognized. After you've listened I also have a commentary for the RP for your enjoyment (the cats are out there, and the conspiracy of Skype vs. Lucien Dodge).

I would greatly accept and appriciate comments and reviews from cast and non-cast alike. Oh yeah...I had to compress this a lot to get it to 8 MBs so the audio quality suffered a little.

Wow I have to say that was some great mixing, I think this episode flowed a lot smoother than the last one. I really like the music, the ending theme is especially nice. It's really nice to hear a long RP I had the chance to lie back and chill out while I listened.

I shall try to come back with a full crit later ^^,,

Finaly got around to listening to it ^_^! Was a good listen (wow! oogles of hours! hahaha jus jokeing) and I have to say that I really like the personal touches you added to it (especialy the end, interesting idea!). And once again, compliments to the cast and mixing - I thought things flowed well. Song was awsome; liked how you paralleled the ending a bit but gave it a fresh kick!

And now that I've reheard myself... yeah the first french phrase could of been better worded but the two after was correct french as far as I know. And appologies about being too loud in the commentary ... @_@ whoops.

... not to mention the werid meowing in the commentary in the end *cough* (glad you kept that in hahaha)

All in all... it was lots of fun to listen and be part of!
Sorry; I am now considered inactive however if you need to find me please email me. Thank you.

Just listened to the commentary, cause I felt like it, and it amused me more listening to it (proof that I must like the sound of my own voice >>), but I wanted to say:

I GOT that Digital Voice Recorder today! LoL yay!

Seriously though, I love that commentary, its so amusing. I'm a commentary junkie.

Real review on the way I promiskis.

Not surprisingly, I think this was your strongest instalment yet. Best acting performances I've heard so far, most to-the-point editing so far, story is a bit confusing but ends nicely. And yes, Skype hates me. It couldn't handle all my awesome commentary...ness.

Thanks Azure, and I really enjoyed having you voice for the project. Once I get the Chrono Trigger RP going I hope you're up for playing Schala.

Yeah this is sort of how I would have like the game to have been, utilizing both a new cast of characters along with the previous ones. Obivously though the whole "explaination" I provided for the Time Crash and such would have been better thought out by the creators though. As for the song, I was fortunate that Pixie decided to release it, as the vision I had for the ending involved a closing song. It was only natural to use "Radical Dreamers" yet I wanted a fresh take on it. I hope Pixie would be flattered I used her version in the RP.

Once we got it going, it was fun. I swear next time on the CT RP I'll be doing (if I can get everyone to reprise their roles) things shall be smoother. I look foward to the review.

Thanks, Lucien. I think I've come a long way with mixing RPs since I first started. I'm not perfect, but I'm glad you noticed my improvement. There were several changes I made in post production to the ordering of scenes and removing some more of the narration (even though it was scripted) that helped the pace a lot. I agree on the story being a little confusing and if I were to do the RP over, I would clean it up. I think no one could do a Chrono story better than the origional creators though.

The next Chrono RP (The CT one) I'm doing wasn't written by me and seems to be adapted well enough so I think things should be clearer in it. Maybe the skype situation will be improved by the time we do a commentary if it. But knowing Skype...

Never been one for much for making huge reviews, but I will say that this is one of the best rP's I've heard, mainly because I'm partial to any and all things Chrono Trigger/Cross. All the characters, in my opinion, were appropriately voiced and well acted. Kudos to this. Also, where did you get the english version of the Radical Dreamer's song at the end? I've been looking for that song forever! @_@

Well I listened all "official like" and stuff.

The cast, was so good, I don't think I could really do individual responses. But ... I can try. ^^

    Lucien Dodge: Lynx/ FATE/ Narrator (Taban)/Robo

Lucien, you are amazing, as always. Having done a bazillion voices in this and each one had its very own individual character. I really can't say much else about it. Really excellent.

    Tony Wang: Serge/Dark Serge

Very good characterization, and some of the best acting in the RP.

Ben Harmer: Janus (AKA “Magus” Zeal)

You've got such a nice voice ^^. Occassionally I felt that the emotions weren't coming across, but those occasions were rare. A very solid performance.

    Azure: Kid/Schala Zeal

You've got an excellent voice for Kid. My favorite part, will eternally be "UN-COMPLICATE IT!" Sometimes it was hard to understand, especially your parts as Schala, but I think that was because of the effects being used, and not necessarily your diction.

    Laura Post: Lucca Ashtear

omg you sucksucksuck. LoL. Ok I don't SUCK, but I'm not going to review myself either. XP

    Tamtu Bui: Glenn

Ah Blue, you know you're good, do I really have to tell you again? Ok. You're good. XP

    LionCourt: Crono

Another one of my favorite voices/performances in this (although, with everyone being so damn awesome, should I really be saying everyones my favorite? bah whatever), I thought you really clearly showed your emotions and you just had a great voice and characterization.

    Luckee Cookie: Harle

I Love ze french accent. <3 Meow =^.^= Seriously though, I thought you were very excellent. Bravo!

    Ishtar (AKA Alyx): Marle

Another excellent performance, my only thought was when she got shot in the leg, she didn't really sound like she was in a lot of pain at all. Like, I know she was saying "I'm fine, it was just my leg" but that would still hurt. But REGARDLESS of that, lovely voice, great characterization, solid acting.

    Leena: Ayame

Not a very big part, but a very authentic and geniune voice. I really enjoyed listening to you for the small part you were in.

Mixing: There were a couple scenes, (I think scene 2 specifically) sounded like they were saved in the wrong quality (IE something lower than 44100) and it sounded warped or underwater for the duration of the scene. There was never any question as to what was going on, and the mix of Sound Effects and Music and everything was superb. One of the best productions out there. ^^ I don't know what I think of the long block of music at the end. I wanted to hear credits there, or something, it just felt so long to just be music, but at the same time I understand its purpose, so I wouldn't say it should be taken out completely. Yeah, I dunno. ^^'

Anyway, Thats it, Good job everyone!
