Yes... exactly what the title says... Well I hope im the first one to do this ;D
I like to feel special... Ame Agari is a common song I believe, but I felt like singing it too... It's my second post in this section ~
    Being a guy.. i had to mess with the pitch a bit;
( but im musically challanged soo... it took a while )

I could sing it with the original instrumental; but I found it a bit hard at the low parts..

I hope you like it. Please leave comments... I'd ReALLY like to know everyones opinion. So I can improve!

    I also want to mention... I sound really...gay in this song >___>;;
( no offence to anyone in anyway except for me )

...Don't make fun of me D:

hullo jessehjlee! you are yuriko's friend right 8D
    nice ta meet'ya.

    anyways... comments from me xD!
wow u really have a lovely voice treasure it XD
one major thing that i needa point out, though... i think u should stand away from your microphone a bit @__@ this isn't a big problem with the verses but once it's got to the chorus, the vocals become too loud and a little bit piercing. this kinda ruined the quality, i have to say.

you have quite a good sense of pitch there are only some minor pitch problems here and there.

the last thing that i'd like to mention is... emotions. i don't know much about the song. i haven't heard of the original version, and i don't know what the lyrics are about. purely from the melody, though, it feels like it's a really expressive song. u need mUCH MUCH more emotions to convey that i could sense some of your energy coming once u get to the chorus bit because it's much louder and stuff. but but but.. u still need to express more through your voice, not through dynamics.

anywho anywho, i thought that it was a good attempt >:3 and i enjoyed listening to it too ^_^ keep going and try to bear in mind what i've said! (though it's quite subjective as well.. i tried to be constructive )

Ohhh... I liked the way you made the song your own. Few things actually, stand a bit away from the mic. Remember breath support cause the end of phrases, cause it sounded really good then you ran out of breath xD. Also, you sound a bit different than usual, but I think that's cause you're so close to the mic or maybe you're trying a new style xD!

Good effort, slight problems with pitch here and there, but nothing Jesse can't fix right? Like ICD(hugs) said, more emotions please ^^; But i think the major problem to make the song MUCH more pleasing to the ear, is the mic problem haha. Just stand a bit farther, and it'll make the quality much more enjoyable than it already is.

    GOOD JOB JESSSEEEEEE *hugs*
There's nothing either as good or bad but thinking makes it so.

Hiya! Here is my critique! =3

I like your voice!!! But the thing missing from this song is the emotion! There were some pitch problems. ^^;; ICD mostly said everything. Good job though! Practice makes perfect~ ^^

I'm in love you your voice *o*

Did raise the pitch of the Karaoke? Sounds a lil like it. But I'm referring to the Ame Agari SakuraNek0 did. Don't mind me.

You need lots and lots more energy. This song lacks... Color, if I may say so. Put some more sadness in to it, think about the lyrics and what they mean and sing them out. Feel it!

All in all, this is lovely. *fangirls over you*

I can't believe I never got to critique this after listening to it so much XD...
Your pitch was awesome. You voice in general is awesome XD...
    <3 It. ^^
I agree with the others about emotion though, put all that you have into this song. :3... (XD; Though I shouldn't really talk... I suck with emotion too...) Look at the translations of the lyrics, and think of how this person must feel ...
Mic issues were noted. Those are easily fixed ...
You haven't had puff problems. I'm envious. XD

LoL~ Thx for the comments Kouari Nokido and CKmel (;D)

I really don;t know how to reply to these things... never really been on these 'forums' untill a while ago when Yuriko introduced it to me~ and im thankful =) - nudges good pal~ -

the emotion and energy business.. i hear alot; but i don't get how to T___T

I always go: " OKAY! Today this song is gonna have soo much emotion in it, I'll Be drained!! "

but we all know that doesn't really work =(

    ... Any techniques out there?

good question jessehjlee!!! im still exploring on the issue of energy/emotion as well +_+ and the idea of it is so damn difficult abstract to grasp isn't it xD? so abstract lol.

anyway... if i were to give some advice.. then here it is::

for some songs... like really energetic ones, i just yell. XD that kind of helps me get into the "feeling" of the song. i don't mean literally yelling into the microphone but i hope u know what i mean lol. personally it helps a lot xD! jumping up and down should help.. but then my voice comes out wavering so.. NO! XD

when it comes to really expressive/slow-ish songs though, i guess it's more like the way you sing the phrases. how you sing/link a whole phrase, where you stress words and quite importantly, how you end phrases :/ staccato? legato? etc.

dynamics play quite an important role here too. sometimes the way you glide into the note/word also helps you express @__@ i personally think that having a vibrato helps >_>" and i desperately want to be able to do it ... ah well. i dunno. the big big thing is mainly the way you use your voice, i think. if you express well enough, you should be able to hear what kind of emotion you are trying to convey through listening to your voice alone. some songs are sung in a way that make you feel like the singers are on the verge of tears; some singers sound like they are having a huge broad grin on their faces while they are singing; some sound very poignant but positive at the same time and so on. practice is the key here, i guess try using your voice in different ways? i dunno. everyone's voice is versatile so try to stretch your limits! 8D

listening to really good amateurs (and obviously, professionals as well) help a lot too!! you kind of understand more

i hope this helps ;_; i wish someone would teach me how to do it properly XD!
