Weird Habits

When I touch something cold/otherwise causes a temporary change in my skin, I have to touch it with the opposite body part (so if my right hand touched cold water my left hand needs to go in, too). I've worked on it since I was little, though, so it's not like I'm going to burn both my hands or anything.
The volume on the TV has to be an even number, unless it's a multiple of 5.
Even if the papers are already aligned, I have to stand them up on a smooth surface.
I bit my lip before what's-her-face made it cute.
I hate touching money, especially coins. I also hate touching small metal things like nails and bolts. If they look clean it's sometimes okay.

I always check my room for spiders before I go to sleep...this is a must!

I also always check that I locked my house or car doors a bajillion times before I can safely leave them and even then, sometimes I feel like going back again.

When I was young, I used to have this ocd thing as well where television remotes and other things had to be perfectly set and that the direction they face could not be pointing to me or anybody else in my family...cause they were dangerous, lmao

I like to run up and down my house like a mad man sometimes.

I sometimes have conversations with myself.

Things I do that aren't normal:

1. I am obscenely quiet around people. I have a bit of a reputation as a ninja on campus.

2. I have to wipe off the condensation on glasses with my fingers, or with a napkin if it appears again.

3. I have a habit of talking with myself on things I have to do. Mostly HW.

4. I slip in random Japanese in conversations just because it's easier to say. For example, I say "Chotto matte" instead of "Wait a sec".

5. After I've been watching anime for a while, I start talking straight Japanese.

6. When I get really excited, my chest tingles and my arms flail.

7. I shut down when I'm in a group of 3 or more people. I start talking in smaller groups.

8. I sing or hum when there's nothing else to do or when I'm bored.

Everytime I see my cats I always say heeeeeeeeeeeeeeey in a very stupid voice 0.o I don´t know how it got there xD
And I always talk a lot to myself when I´m gaming, I´m not even aware of doing that.

I forgot to mention that when I eat my food, I must eat everything sequentially and in a logical order. I never have a mouthful of something then go for something else on my plate if there is still more of the thing I just ate still there. This drives some people mad though I don't know why, I personally like to save the best for last and leave my meal on the best note possible :/

Guess that's another thing I like to do, save the biggest and tastest piece of food for last. Also, even though I'm right handed, I hold my utensils like a left handed person would. As well, when I've sparred/boxed, I've used a southpaw style which is also stereotypical of a left handed person.

Chrysics, you have the same habit with food as I do. Best 'til last, all the time and it has to be eaten in a particular way.
Also, I got shouted at in primary school alot because I hold my cutlery like a left handed person even though I'm right handed. No idea why the teacher would shout at me for it but she did yet I still eat like that to this day, just too difficult for me to switch.

was your school religious and backwards? Perhaps they were still caught up in that superstitious tripe, "ooooo beware the left handed people, they are the choosen vessels of Satan!" <<;

If it's on a plate, I'll usually mix it all together before eating (the exceptions being Thanksgiving meals and buffets). The sauce must be evenly distributed! Or else!

*I dont go into public cubicals if the toilet lid is down - it creeps me out .....i believe Critters did that to me!
*if i eat something which is soft and hard - i need to eat the soft part first then the hard - i cant bring myself to eat it together and eating hard then soft is just stupid!
*I hate food mixed together - i prefer to have my veg to one side, mash/chips seperate and portion of food away from the rest....i dont like things tainting my veg.
*If it's quiet - i need to talk to myself if no one else is about or start singing to myself....i hate quietness unless its nighttime.
*At night, i need to check the gas cooker that it's definately off, to do that i need to place my finger on each knob - starting from top and count it twice 1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4 and then i move to the oven then check the rest of the appliances but as long as the gas is off im fine.

Let's see here...

- I can't sleep with pants on. I have to be wearing shorts--and no socks either. I honestly have no idea why, but I always find myself fidgeting if I wear pants to bed.

- All my nails MUST be the same length. If one is just the slightest bit shorter than the rest, I file down every nail until they're uniform.

- I pick up verbal tics like no one's business. There was a point in time I'd add a Reno-esque "yo" at the end of some of my sentences. More of an Asian drawl rather than ghetto.

- Whenever I'm explaining something that made me angry, my inflection goes ALL over the place. And it's rapid-fire.

- I sleep under my pillow rather than on top of it. I don't know why, but yeah.

- I never move when I sleep. Or rather, if I do, it's so minimal that, when I wake up, my covers are exactly the same way they were the night before.

- Got a bad habit of twirling my hair whenever I walk alone.
