Hi everyone!

For my next project, I'm gonna be producing a Kare Kano RP.
However, I'm rewriting the dialogue and such to make it sound more natural-- my goal is a realistic, believable audio drama approach.
I really love Kare Kano, and I feel that the main character, Yukino, is a lot like me. I feel that I could make the character believable since I know where she's coming from and what she's feeling a lot of the time. But I also know that my voice is quite a bit lower than the one chosen for her in the manga, and it also might be a big no-no to self-cast THE main character. >.< It might also discourage wonderfully talented girl VAs who might have done better.
SO: I've recorded some samples of my interpretation of the character, the first being internal narration, the second being normal dialogue.
Critique, please, and tell me if self-casting would fly. ^^;

Although I'm not too familiar with the series and it's voice actors...I thought those turned out well~ One VERY small problem...some words sounded a bit mumbled so it was kinda hard to understand. Nothing major tho. ^^

If you wanna self cast, go for it! Sorry this one wasn't much help. XD;;

Ahh, quite on the contrary! I'm just glad to get some feedback!
And yeah, I should work on my articulation some more. When I'm trying to sound natural, I tend to talk too fast and lose a word or two along the way.
I'll try to record another clip keeping that in mind really quick. =D

Your voice could be a teensy bit higher though =D

Your acting however on the line where she's talking about how she's an ego freak-- I own the manga, so I'd know on this part she's more like 'HUAHAHAH!' like satisfied with herself. So you should sound a little more 'I'M SO CLEVER' like so the people listening can really be like 'SHE'S CRAZY O___O' Like I was when I first read the manga.
ALSO, on the part where she admits she's an ego freak, I think you should say it a little quietly at first, like she doesn't want to admit it, but she gets more comfortable as she goes on and ends up as... the forementioned =D

Yeah, you're right. There's another part earlier on where she goes off on a tirade about all that(So THIS is what they think of me, ohohoho! *evil craziness ensues*), and this line should probably follow the same pattern.
As for the pitch... yeah, maybe I can go a bit higher. Actually, I'm thinking my natural tone for at-home Yukino and the higher pitch when she's putting on her act. *Not sure?* Anyway, thanks for the advice. I'll keep working on it so I can self-cast without shame or regret. >D

New clip added to the main post. I worked on anunciating my words better, used a slightly higher pitch, and tried to add more insanity(XD).
Also, the recording quality's a bit better this time.

As for your new clip... ehn, not feeling it. Not enough dramatic-ness to me. Especially when she goes: HIS NAME IS ARIMA SOICHIRO! I think you need to sound almost over-dramatic at that line that you recorded.
