  2. thank you. I had not intended to "out" myself as a producer, but I do write and produce projects for which I pay people; as such, when I see people copping the attitudes I've seen in that thread (the negative ones) I figure they aren't experienced and aren't professional. People with those attitudes don't get a lot of respect in the "real world" of production...

Anyway, I said what needed to be said. Now, I"m goin to go troll for some more things to audition for...

Thank you for posting in the self-casting thread. Your voice of reason and logic are a breath of fresh air in comparison to all the "attitude" most others seem to be bringing. I feel like you've been the voice of everything I'm trying to get across as well. Thank you.

Arm Bling

by Pixelespace on 02-10-2011 at 05:31 AM
In the "Pet Peeves" thread I commented on the lack of good parts for females, particularly in "original" productions. Even in the "fan dub" productions, the females tend often to be arm bling, no depth, no nothing. The few projects I've audded for from this board and gotten provided interesting female parts and they were enjoyable to do. And, I'd like to think that actors who enjoy their parts contribute greatly to the success of a production.

So, producers

Thoughts about Doing it Right (Part 1)

by Pixelespace on 03-29-2009 at 04:33 PM
There's a discussion about whining about not getting cast (in the Peeves thread). I don't understand why people whine when they don't get cast. If you are an actor IRL, you're going to aud for a lot of things. You may get them; odds are you won't get but one or two of them. There are a LOT of actors out there and there's always going to be somebody better or worse than you. To whine and piss and moan about how somebody got a part because they're "frieeeenddssss" or some other thing, especially
