    Hello How are you?
  2. View Conversation
Yes, I'm getting the distinct wiff of manga obsession (not quite 4chan, but then is anything?) still there is raw talent that just needs a touch of listening too. We shall see where this goes....
Anyway I have brassgoggles and oolite to attend to. So I shall bid you adu until the next time a day or two tops , In the mean time I shall sniff out your showreels (Fooer!) Soon I promise Mr M!

I shall for once try to live up to your sizeable expectations of me. Then let us be honest here; we are both many things on the internet. Whilst Matt's death is still souring my taste for audio some what. I do intend (and have been intending) to spend a little more time here than the cursory once a year "hello boys! Guess who's still alive!" post.

I think; a nice little bit of underdog and post blind encouragement is needed. I've noticed a lot of "I've posted this!" then thread silence going on. How will anyone improve without encouragement? And yes it does gain me a small but loyal army of can do people. But ones with high self esteem damn it!

To this end I will be doing my best to avoid old scores and flame wars. As we know the form never really changes, but it's function depends on applied force and perspective.

So Mr Mane, what's been happening in your world? Or should I save on the small talk and ferret it out for myself? We are all but a google away after all.

Once more you cut me to the bone with your razor sharp greetings. How the devil are you sir?

Wasn't there a Pepsi Crystal or something once?

I actually really didn't like Vanilla Pepsi. I thought I would, but I didn't take to it. But! I was actually present when Vanilla Coke was debuted because I don't life too far from where it was released. So I actually had it on the first day it was ever available! Kind of cool, I guess. :/

Well, yeah, he doesn't have real copies of the expensive cards in the chest. He keeps those in his closet somewhere, so I'm not sure exactly which ones he has. But he photocopied those so we use copies when we play. XD

2+3=23, Which Is The Number Of This Entry

by Steven Mane on 06-17-2010 at 01:54 AM
For two months, Travellers, I have tried to come up with a decent topic for my blog, especially for the 23rd entry (i.e. this one). Why? The number 23 is very important in the city of Chicago (it's the jersey number of sports Hall of Famers Michael Jordan and Ryne Sandberg), and thus for the longest time I was debating whether or not to bring up the topic of an AVA Hall of Fame. However, remembering the past and the backlash of topics similar to it, I decided it wasn't a good idea (maybe for a future

22: Catch

by Steven Mane on 04-30-2010 at 02:35 AM
Travellers, the Voxman is still very much alive and well, but just not appearing very often. Therefore, I shall briefly address what I have been up to the past two months.

Nothing.

Moving on, I haven't really been doing any true web-surfing for a while, but I did find this little gem, courtesy of our very own Voiceroy (there's also the D.C. Douglas situation, but I've already blogged about it on my own website).

Wow. David Duchovny has our backs. This is

Twenty-One: Maturity, or How To Handle Criticism Without Really Trying

by Steven Mane on 02-16-2010 at 11:59 PM
Travellers, I had actually written a very nice blog about a week ago on the subject of handling criticism. Unfortunately, when I pressed the "Post Now" button, I was unaware that I was disconnected from the Internet, and it was sent into the great unknown. I shall briefly address the issue of criticism before moving on.

Ignore it.

Moving on, it's been a while since I was twenty. I was looking forward to the future, just starting out on the VAA (not exactly on

The 20th Century Is Almost Over... Oh, Wait.

by Steven Mane on 01-19-2010 at 10:07 PM
Welcome to the second decade of the 21st century. As we all should know by now, nothing's happened (except terrorism, the first black American president, and Vic Mignogna). So, as we enter a new age, we should realize that a lot of us aren't going to live to see 2100. So, let's all look back on our lives, get depressed, and spend the remaining years we have in a drunken stupor.

Kidding.

Actually, we should look back on who we are: lovers of voice actors, voice overs,

An open letter to Christine Cavanaugh

by Steven Mane on 01-10-2010 at 01:39 AM
1999. With credits like Babe the Pig, Oblina from AAAH! Real Monsters, Chuckie Finster, and the little scientist Dexter, Christine Cavanaugh was well on her way to becoming one of the greatest voice actresses in history. And then, for mysterious reasons, she was gone, leaving behind more questions than answers and a giant hole in voice that can't be filled.

Over ten years and hundreds of crap productions (and dozens of good ones) later, it's time to say what everyone is thinking: COME
