Lets see, it really depends on the person and your role. Everyone's different so just ask the person producing it. And try to audition for small roles first for experience and to get a feel. Or not too big of a role so that you can estimate how much time you can give to them and such.

Once you become better, you'll be able to use less of your time for voice acting and probably audition for more. Because having more experience and being better at it means you do less retakes thus taking less of your time. And depending on the project, they might take a long while before you start recording again for the next lines and such. They're also busy and such too.

But if you're busy with something and such later on, just remember to update them and tell them when you can give it to them or when you'll be back. And if you're not, let them know right away so they can do a re-audition for your character.
