Yeah I struggle with that kinda thing too. You definitely need an editing program that can handle multiple audio tracks that overlay. The best way I can think of is to find an mp3 of the song you want to include and lay that as a background, then place our voices on top of that. It's very crude but for that particular scene when there isn't a hell of a lot going on, it'll probably be just enough. Jan actually does some editing too, perhaps she could help you as well.
