Voice Acting Alliance Forums FAQ

Here you can find answers to questions about how the board works. Use the links or search box below to find your way around.

First Three Sections

News and Announcements - This section is only available for staff members to post in. Here, we will post changes that are being made to the site, announcements of down-time, rules, or additions to the staff or other various things relating to the board. The things posted in this section are very important to be read and will almost always answer anyone's question about a recent change, or problem, with the site. If you see a new topic - Read it. Technical Issues - This section is for technical problems relating to the site, and only technical problems relating to the site. What this means is - if your avatar isn't working, if you're having problems accessing certain aspects of the board, if the board explodes, or some other technical problem occurs, this is the place to post it in. Do NOT post about your recording, microphone, dubbing or any other problems you might come across in this section, as there is another section for this. Feedback - The feedback section is for you to post what you think about the changes made to the site, to comment on how the staff is doing, questions related to the site that you might have and any other constructive comments and questions that one might have. We do not need 1,000 word essays about how evil the terrible admins are and how the site makes your dog puke up hairballs. We try to reply to the topics in the feedback section as best, and as quickly, as we can. Don't be offended if an idea is turned down as we don't mean to offend, but we must take each idea into consideration with how it would work for the board, and for our users. If an idea is turned down, it's likely because most of the users wouldn't appreciate it, or because it's not the most practical idea for the site at this time. Remember when suggesting ideas that it has to be practical - something we're able to do. We are not going to be installing any "arcade" hacks or other silly things like that. This is a site for voice acting, and getting to know people through voice acting. We don't need random people signing up just to best people at Tetris. While you are free to debate topics through this section, keep in mind that going in circles, or interjecting with completely unnecessary things is not helpful. In the end, if a decision is made that you don't like, you're free to say it, but also try to understand why such a decision has been reached. We want to move on with getting things done with the site, and we're quite certain the users would like that as well. There's a difference between constant criticism, and helping the community. We reserve the right to lock threads we feel touch too much on individual issues. Feedback is for general site suggestions not further debate of personal problems.

Auditions & Casting

This forum is provided for the simple purpose of allowing you, the producer, to cast your projects. The forums are broken down in to two sub-forums: Visual Productions - specifically for fandubs, flash animations, original animations, games, and anything visual based. Audio Productions - specifically for radio plays, song dubs, request for music vocals, and anything audio based.

Completed Works

When you've completed a project, please feel free to post it in one of these forums. Please be aware that posting your projects opens you up for feedback from the userbase. The sub-forums are broken down as follows: Audio Dramas - primarily for audio based projects (radio plays, etc) Visual Projects - for fandubs clips or episodes, original animations, flash animations Shorts and Samplers - for demo reels, sample reels, short/insignificant test projects Recording Studio - for projects that are song based (song dubs, original compositions, etc)
