[AzurePro] Short Story Collection Contest - Writers Inquire within

Rate this Entry
This is so different than what most blog posts on this forum are about. And from the looks of it, it has absolutely nothing to do with voice acting O_O.

At least that's what it seems XD.

AzurePro Press (A literature publishing division of AzurePro Studios)

Short Story Compilation Contest

Concept

AzurePro Press is a relatively new publishing company that I have begun with the emphasis and focus on helping people put their work out for the world to see. Independent publishing has become one of the most respected forms of art in the world today. Much like Indie games, authors and smaller publishers focus less on what marketing firms and other big name publishers feel is a current trend and worth publishing and focus more on the actual distribution of their passion. It's not about money; it's about the feeling of seeing one’s work being released into the world and if you take home some profit then that’s an added benefit. The goal is to help guide aspiring writers to reach the level of published author. Anyone can publish a story a book now a days but the difference is always in the quality and refinement of that work. For most new coming authors finding reliable editors at a reasonable price can be a stressful job. This contest is to help writers have their works looked at and edited from an unbiased perspective.

At the end of this contest we will take the refined selected stories and place them in a collected short stories book to be published and sold in both print and ebook format. All profit will be split equally amongst the published authors in the book. Each entrant and published author will receive a free print and ebook copy of the book.

That Voice Acting Part of the Contest

All stories published will also be turned into a short audio production using voice actors from our network of talent. These short audio one shots will be available for free streaming on AzurePro's website and be distributed through iTunes as well.

Who the hell is this guy?

I'm a published author who started AzurePro in hopes of distributing original content as an Indie Producer. No type of project is ignored, audio dramas, animations, novels, etc, we'll distribute and create all sorts of content.

I've been a writer for over 10 years and put out the first novel of my series, Shattered Heaven last year in print format. The ebook version will be dropping in the beginning of April. I'm also an animator, graphic and web designer. Currently I am working on a direct to DVD animated movie for my novel series that will tell of events happening between the first and second novel. An audition thread and information blog will be coming on that this weekend. Needs plenty of extras and remaining characters to be cast!

It's a short story. So it must have a beginning and an end. But yes, it can be whatever you want.

Lol. Yeah, you should definitely do this.

I should probably make a note that fan fictions won't be accepted now that I reread this.
