Yep, we're back.

If you're reading this, you PROBABLY already realized that we're back and I've spoken with you or something like that. I've made posts on our production blog as well as sent out a big long email for the Midnight Sugar cast. But. Uh. I figured this needed an update, too. I'll give you guys a heads up on how things are going, so I think I'll probably cross post the important parts of this to our site as well.

BY THE BY, SHAMELESS PLUG--GO HERE TO FOLLOW MIDNIGHT SUGAR PRODUCTIONS AT AN AWESOME WEBDOMAIN.
Love&Sugar.Net!

I need to make an awesome button for this...

You can find production notes, progress reports, and other such rantings there!

Anyways, let's get started with what I've been repeating over and over recently--my apologies. I'm putting this under a spoiler button so you don't have to read all this crap if you don't want to. No, it's not an excuse--it's my mistake and laziness being put out into the open.

Spoiler:

Now that that's all said and done, I recently purchased Adobe Soundbooth CS5 for mixing on my iMac! Which means I'll have a MUCH nicer space to work with in terms of production. Mixing should run much smoother, and hopefully sound a lot more professional. I've also taken a liking to creating homemade SFX, so that should bring an increase in quality, too! (Besides just ganking crappy quality ones from the interwebs.)

AS FOR WHAT YOU ALL ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT. Our projects.

We, Midnight Sugar Productions, do plan on continuing what we started. We will keep our promises. I'm very excited, because I'm going to actually be getting my staff members more involved beyond just script editing and opinions. This means we should be working smoother, more efficiently, and well, like an actual production team! Granted none of them have ever mixed before so that'll be a bit of a challenge, but we'll make something work. Even though Kacchama is going back to school soon and Suraki is all the way in Virginia, I think we'll be able to work together again harmoniously.

SO. Here's the deal.

Midnight Sugar

....will continue as planned. So far, we are waiting on confirmation from the remaining two cast members to resume production. If anyone has gotten ahold of Littlestar or xXLittlexGurlXx recently, please ask them to check their email for our letter--and let them know the episode is out! If they do not confirm their roles then we will be recasting, but I really don't want to do that so we'll wait for quite awhile! Regardless of when they give us the answer, though,

Midnight Sugar, Episode 3 script will be sent out by the end of this week.

This episode will probably be longer than the last and will be the last of the three pilot episodes before we move onto "season one" and go into actual legitimate PLOT, besides happy-go-lucky-random-stuff. Remember that this IS a drama series! It's a lot of fun, but there is some bit of seriousness to it!

Once cast is confirmed and production resumes, I'm hoping to get on a decent schedule of monthly or bimonthly releases. Also, there's brief mentioning of a comic adaptaion in the works, but Kacchama would know more about that.

SO! EPISODE TWO IS OUT. Advertise. Tell your friends. Make them fans. Get them to listen! And give us feedback! Also, I have to stop being lazy and split up parts one and two again so I can upload episode two to youtube... but, it's up here, and at our blog, so you can listen at these places. We do have a mypodcast.com account, but I'm probably going to scrap that, as well as the website I was building for MS. It may go up later, but for now... well, it's just extra, unneeded work.

SO GO LISTEN TO EPISODE TWO HERE! LEAVE FEEDBACK AND I'LL LOVE YOU FOREVER. <3

Now, for our other project!

Dengeki Daisy
will ALSO continue as planned!

I have yet to send out an email to the previous cast, but the manga dub will continue. I have lines from the two most important characters, but I am missing A LOT of lines. What I believe will happen is that first, I will contact all involved with the animation, and see how interested they still are. Depending on that, we may have to see what'll happen with the visual aspect...

After that, I'll send out another email much like the one to the MS cast asking for continued assistance with their roles. Though it's not clear whether or not we will be doing more than one chapter of Dengeki Daisy, I am missing lines for most of the main supporting characters. These were mostly scouted, but some roles were casted. I'll see if these roles are still wanted, and if not, recast.

It'll take awhile to get off the ground, but it IS still happening. Please be patient with me! To Dusk-Requiem and xXLittlexGurlXx and those who turned in their lines, I thank you so much for your patience and for the fact that you actually turned in lines! Of course I'm not upset nor can I say anything to the people who never did, considering production was halted anyway.

Either way, it will be on it's way to the production room soon! As soon as I get my copy of Soundbooth in, I will be mixing what I can of the lines that I have. If you want to hear more about my progress on that, just send me a message! <3

If you'd like to HELP at all with the animation aspect, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE send me a message!

But, that's it for me now. I'll keep you guys updated with production begins with episode Three of MS!

Edit: If you are involved in the cast of DD and would still like to continue to work with us (whether or not we do a chapter two, but you know, uh, yeah~!) please let me know. <3 =3 Thank you!!
