I've e-mailed you the script. Vargas is Sabin's rival. He's pissed that Duncan chose Sabin as the "successor", so Vargas apparently murders Duncan and then attacks Edgar, Terra and Locke when he thinks Sabin sent them. Sabin then rescues the party, and he duels with Vargas. Essentially, Vargas is a jealous muscle-head with rage to burn.
I'll neither confirm nor deny the allegations to Mr. Savage. Umm...I probably could give Vargas a shot. Just send me the necessary information. Been a while since I played FF6 so these 'minor' characters evade my memory.
I recently finished FF6 episode 3 script. No Shadow unfortunately but would you like to be Vargas? You could actually use your Macho Man voice, only try making him sound more evil. Like when Savage was a heel and domestically abusing Ms. Elizabeth and such, you know?
I just can't do the voice justice, in my opinion. I can try again if nobody else is right for the part.
