Alright, IŽll take a look when I'm mixing the FFXIII scene. Those sound effects are quite difficult for me too, I mostly cut off a part from a sound effect then that sounds a bit like it. And for Sully, I saw a vid in the fan visual and Sarifus was a really good Sully!
Hi so the Uncharted scene is almost entirely mixed. I've done the footsteps, bag drops and pickup, airport noises (though I couldn't find one which featured noises from the older style planes we see in the scene, so I just put noises of Cessnas flying by in random spots of the timeline). I'm having trouble finding a noise for when Elena puts her hand on Nathan's chest and for when they hug. I was wondering if you knew of some from your library that you could share. And of course we need to cast Sully too. If you know of someone who'd be good, let me know. Any help is appreciated as always.
I'm gonna have a look at the scene then to hear what kind of footsteps. But what I mostly use are the footsteps from the footsteps folder out of the VAA SFX library. (There are a lot and they sound quite fake, but with music and stuff it should sound alright) I also have other sound effects, if those I just mentioned are not right then I can send you some other foosteps by email. And I'd love to play Elena! It doesn't matter how many lines she has. ^^
Hey, I kinda wanna do the very last scene from Uncharted 3, but I may need some help finding the few simple sound effects (it's mostly footsteps if I remember correctly). I figure you've been doing that kind of work much longer than I have, so you have a better ear for what sounds right. And you could play Elena too, though she sadly doesn't have that many lines.
Oh okay! I thought maybe it had to do with the disappearing messages that seems to occur on the board.
Actually, I was lucky enough to recruit somebody outside the project to handle a good part of the mixing for ep. 7. And MH volunteered to handle the rest, so that should all be taken care of for that particular installment.
I was gonna update you on the story, but I looked at your comments and saw MemoriesHope mentioning episode 7. Did you also send me a pm about mixing? cause if you did, I didn't receive it. I already wondered when I would get the next mixing assignment. Anyways, for the story, I have a teacher helping me with the story ! He gave me some good advice on script writing, so I'm good to go. Not sure how long it will take though, writing goes slow at the moment.
Yeah, like I said, a lot of that was just to entertain myself. >_>
