Voice acting groups?

As us newbs like to say on our first threads. "I'm new here and i was wondering..." so lets get that out of the way XD. Ever since i started at VA about a month ago i've noticed that there seems to be groups of VAers that put together radio plays or dubs with the same people over and over. I noticed this when there were more Finished Projects than there were audition requests.

Example: I usualy see the names Yagi, Nikki Wright, and Matt Allen altogether in the same production.

My question is are there Voice acting groups here that get together to do these sort of things? If so how do you find these groups? Or are these just regulars that happen to live near each other and decided to make these productions together?

Well, it's not that we live near each other or anything, it's more that we're friends and/or we're used to working with each other.

Basically, the longer you stick around and the more reliable you are, the more likely you are to be scouted. When I do small projects, I usually don't feel like opening auditions, so I'll ask people I've worked with in the past to play roles for me.

So yes, groups exist, but it's not due to living nearby or anything like that. It's just that we've worked together in the past, and we'd like to do it again.

I Have a group is called Exile'd Anime no we dont get together basically they have there mic and send in there lines threw email and i do the whole mixdown by myself

hmm...well, i'm part of Random Insanity. But i tend to work with a few people over and over again anyhew...

Just cause i hate the casting process :D
