In case you guys didn't see my introduction thread, I'm basically as new as you can get when it comes to voice acting, and since there's a lot of you guys here with experience, I was wondering if you could spare some helpful tips for newbies such as myself ^^;

So, if you have any advice on voice acting, please share!

hmm.. Well I progressed in Voice Acting trough out the months with a lot of practice basically. Just audition for roles you find really intereting, and really pay attention to their discriptions as it really helps you get into the mindset of the character.

I also just tried discovering alot of the ranges I could go to with my voice, which was very challenging as it took me a while to master them, and I am still not that flexible with some. And basically the only way to overcome this, is to just use that voice daily, and audition using that voice. Also, listening to professional demos by my favourite voice actors also helped me improove, as I tried to mimic some, and added a few characteristics to make it different and unique.

One thing I'm still having difficulty is acting, and it's because sometimes it's so hard to imagine how I can make certain lines come to life. A lot of creativity is involed with the acting, and it's something I'm thriving to do better on, in the near future. But the best way to improove your acting I find is by analyzing the lines, having fun with it of course, and most importantly trying to think of how to respond to the line before it.

Please check the Help, Ideas and Recruitment section, as well as the sticky at the top-- this is not the right section for this thread. Thanks. ^.^
