Final Fantasy X

Alright, I'm not going to bother with an overly lengthy description for the moment, since we all know this game. Whether you love it or hate it, we all know it! And it can also be agreed that the voice acting was rather substandard. So, in celebration of the franchise, as well as the soon-coming HD remake of the game, I want to do a radioplay of the entire game, complete with not only audio from the community here, but incorporating music, sound effects, and video from the game as well. It's a big production, but I believe we can do it.

UPDATE: CAST LIST: Thank you everyone who auditioned! If you're on the cast list, you should be receiving an email from Tatsumi formalizing it! First thing you'll need to do is make sure you have a skype, as that's where the majority of discussion and "rehearsals" will occur. It just makes everything a lot easier to keep organized. Name: Tidus
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Bio: Tidus is the main protagonist of Final Fantasy X, a rising star blitzball player from Zanarkand. After the gargantuan monster known as Sin attacks his hometown, Tidus is transported to the world of Spira. Lost, confused, and seemingly out of place, Tidus meets a newly-fledged summoner, Yuna, and her guardians. Yuna is to set out on a pilgrimage in an attempt to put an end to Sin, and by joining Yuna on her pilgrimage, Tidus hopes he will find his way home.
Line 1: "I give up. So what would an adult do, then? They know they can just throw away a summoner, then they can do whatever they like. You're right, I might not even have a chance. But no way am I gonna just stand here and let Yuna go. And what Auron said about there being a way... I think it's true."
Line 2: "I thought about a lot of things, like... where I was, what I'd got myself into. I started to feel... light-headed, and then, sleepy. ...I think I had a dream - a dream of being alone. I wanted someone - anyone - beside me, so I didn't have to feel alone anymore."
Line 3: "No! That's ridiculous! No way! I don't believe you!"


Name: Yuna
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Bio: Yuna is the female protagonist of Final Fantasy X and. She is the daughter of High Summoner Braska and an unnamed Al Bhed woman, who died when Sin attacked her ship at sea. Yuna's mother was the sister of Cid, who is the father of Rikku and Brother, Yuna's cousins. A powerful summoner like her father, she embarks on a quest in Final Fantasy X to expel Sin; meeting Tidus, who teaches her that there is more to life than sacrifice.
Line 1: "Everyone has lost something precious. Everyone here has lost homes, dreams, and friends. Now, Sin is finally dead. Now, Spira is ours again. Working together, now we can make new homes for ourselves, and new dreams. Although I know the journey will be hard, we have lots of time. Together, we will rebuild Spira. The road is ahead of us, so let's start out today. Just, one more thing... the people and the friends that we have lost, or the dreams that have faded... Never forget them."
Line 2: "I will defeat Sin...I must defeat Sin."
Line 3: “I only have as many guardians as there are people I can trust. I trust them all with my life! To have so many guardians is a joy, and an honour! Even more so than being my father's daughter. Of course, I would never think of questioning your ways, either. So, Lady Dona, I ask of you: please leave us in peace.”


Name: Auron
Age: 35
Gender: Male
Bio: Auron is a former warrior monk of Yevon, guardian of High Summoner Braska, and is Tidus's caretaker. He is, in many ways, the unofficial leader of the main party of the game, as party members will often come to him for advice or ask for his permission. Auron's complex and mysterious past, revealed in pieces during the game, directly ties into the stories of Braska and Tidus's father Jecht, and helps set the stage for the game's events.
Line 1: “This is it. This... is your story. It all begins here.”
Line 2: “Now! This is it! Now is the time to choose! Die and be free of pain, or live and fight your sorrow! Now is the time to shape your stories! Your fate is in your hands!”
Line 3: “Summoners challenge the bringer of death, Sin, and die doing so. Guardians give their lives to protect their summoner. The fayth are the souls of the dead. Even the maesters of Yevon are unsent. Spira is full of death... only Sin is reborn, and then only to bring more death. It is a cycle of death, spiraling endlessly.”


Name: Kimahri
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Bio: Kimahri Ronso of the Ronso tribe. While taller than humans, he is smaller than the average Ronso and has a broken horn. Mostly out of shame over his broken horn, Kimahri rarely speaks to anyone. Whenever he does, he only talks to those he likes and trusts, which is a main part of why he does not initially talk to the male protagonist Tidus. The first time he speaks during Final Fantasy X is following Operation Mi'ihen, when he reminds Tidus — who is shocked to hear Kimahri talk at all — that he must keep a bright exterior and happy face to help brighten Yuna's journey. From then on, Kimahri only talks when necessary and usually offers helpful advice when he does speak.
Line 1: “Al Bhed is Al Bhed. Rikku is Rikku. Rikku swore to protect Yuna. And Rikku is not a liar. Kimahri can tell. So, she is a friend.”
Line 2: “You have angered Kimahri! The spirits of the Ronso will guide Kimahri’s spear!”
Line 3: “In dark times, she must be. She must shine bright.”


Name: Wakka
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Bio: Yuna's childhood friend, Wakka resolved to become a guardian full-time after the death of his brother Chappu. When he meets Tidus, he's astounded by his similarity to Chappu and approves of Yuna's decision to enlist him as another guardian. Formerly the captain of the Besaid Aurochs, his blitzball got a bit rusty after Chappu died and he found himself unable to concentrate; he's still quite a good player, though. A fierce believer in Yevon's teachings, he's incredulous as he slowly perceives the church's hypocrisy. Wakka is laid-back and cool; a neat Hawaiian accent accompanies his statements. He's also devout, though, which sometimes sounds a bit weird. He has a good sense of humor and sometimes likes to horse around.
Line 1: “This is the only time! The players fight with all their strength: the fans cheer for their favorite team. They forget pain, suffering... Only the game matters! That's why blitz has been around for so long. Least that's what I think.”
Line 2: “Those sand-blasted grease monkeys!”
Line 3: “When we used to blitz together, Chappu used to say...he said that—when we win the cup ya?—he'd propose to Lulu. Then one day he goes off and becomes a Crusader. just like that!”


Name: Lulu
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Bio: Lulu is a playable character in Final Fantasy X. She is one of Yuna's Guardians. Alongside Auron, she is the wisest and most mature of them all. Since Lulu grew up with Yuna in Besaid, she and Wakka think of Yuna as a younger sister. Lulu's stoic and self-possessed nature makes her seem insensitive at times, but she has a hidden bit of gentleness underneath. She specializes in the art of Black Magic, using various dolls to help cast powerful spells. She is instrumental in helping Tidus adjust to the world of Spira, although she does not fully believe his claim of being from Zanarkand.
Line 1: “Amazing. Simply amazing. You make up one theory after another, refusing to face the simple truth. Sin didn't "take" Chappu anywhere. Sin crushed him and left him on the Djose shore! Your brother won't just pop back. Oh, and one more thing. No matter how much you want it, no one can take Chappu's place. No one can replace Sir Jecht, for that matter. And there's no replacement for Lord Braska, either. It's pointless to think about it, and sad.”
Line 2: “No! This cannot be! The teachings state that we can exorcise Sin with complete atonement!”
Line 3: “You truly are clueless. Are you sure it's just your memory that's the problem? The dead need guidance. Filled with grief over their own death, they refuse to face their fate. They yearn to live on, and resent those still alive. You see, they envy the living. And in time, that envy turns to anger, even hate. Should these souls remain in Spira, they become fiends that prey on the living. Sad, isn't it? The sending takes them to the Farplane, where they may rest in peace.”


Name: Rikku
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Bio: Rikku is a lively and kind-hearted Al Bhed. Rikku's father is Cid, the leader of the Al Bhed faction, and she has an older brother, aptly named Brother. Her mother died before the events of Final Fantasy X, having been killed by a faulty machina. Cid's sister, Rikku's aunt, married High Summoner Braska, Yuna's father, making Rikku and Brother Yuna's biological cousins. In Final Fantasy X, Rikku is Tidus's first friend in Spira, and returns later in the story, becoming one of Yuna's guardians. Strong-willed, Rikku makes numerous attempts to disrupt Yuna's pilgrimage; knowing what Yuna's fate would be at the end. She eventually joins the pilgrimage in an effort to ensure it wouldn't happen.
Line 1: “Pleased to meet ya! I'm Rikku!”
Line 2: “Fyed! Fryd ev ed ec risyh?” (Translation: Wait! What if it is human?)
Line 3: “You know, don't you? Summoners journey to get the Final Aeon. Yuna told you, didn't she? With the Final Aeon, she can beat Sin. But then...but then...if she calls it, the Final Aeon's going to kill her! Even if she defeats Sin, it will kill Yunie too, you know!”


Name: Seymour Guado
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Bio: Seymour Guado is the game's main antagonist. As a maester in the church of Yevon, Seymour has considerable influence over Spira and is a skilled mage and summoner. Seymour uses his power to work towards a sinister end; his ultimate desire is to destroy Spira, believing he will "free" its people from the cycle of sorrow and suffering Sin has trapped them in.
Line 1: “I am Seymour Guado. I am honored to receive the title of maester. In life, my father Jyscal worked to foster friendship between man and Guado. I vow to carry on his legacy, and to fulfill my duties as maester to the best of my abilities.”
Line 2: “But there is no salvation for the damned! Rest in peace in eternal darkness.”
Line 3: “I have saved him. He was a man who craved power. And great power he had, but he feared losing it. Trembling at unseen enemies, he spent his days scheming petty schemes. Chased by his fears, never knowing rest. You see... Now he has no worries. He has been granted sleep eternal. Death is a sweet slumber. All the pain of life is gently swept away... Ah, yes. Don't you see...if all life were to end in Spira, all suffering would end. Don't you see? Do you not agree?”

Name: Jecht
Age: 30’s
Gender: Male
Bio: He is Tidus's father; one of High Summoner Braska's legendary guardians, and a major blitzball star player in his hometown of Zanarkand. Jecht is a tall, muscular man, with a tendency to drink heavily, and wields a large black sword in battle.
Line 1: "Well, well, trying to follow in my footsteps, are you? I usually charge for lessons, you know... That shot is done... like this! (Demonstrates) You can't do it, kid. But don't worry, my boy. You're not the only one. No one else can do it. I'm the best!"
Line 2: “I can't hear the Hymn so well anymore. Pretty soon, I'm gonna be Sin. Completely. I'm glad you're here now. One thing, though... When it starts, I won't be myself anymore. I won't be able to hold myself back. I'm sorry.”
Line 3: “Hey. If you're sitting there, watching this...it means you're stuck in Spira, like me. You might not know when you'll get back home, but you better not be crying! Although, I guess I'd understand. But you know what? There's a time when you have to stop crying and move on. You'll be fine. Remember, you're my son. And... Well, uh... Never mind. I'm no good at these things.”


Name: Braska
Age: 20’s
Gender: Male
Bio: Yuna's father ended up being the last summoner to call the Final Aeon and lose his life in the process. Although an honorable, magnanimous, high-class individual, Braska was a bit of a maverick; he had a sense of humor. Yuna's mother was an Al Bhed, a fact that would have proved deeply embarrassing had the church of Yevon found out about it. Braska was protected on his pilgrimage by Auron and Jecht.
Line 1: “Let's show them they're wrong. A fallen summoner, a man from Zanarkand... and a warrior monk, doomed to obscurity for refusing the hand of the priest's daughter. What delightful irony it would be if we defeated Sin! “
Line 2: “When this is over...could you bring Yuna here? I want her to lead a life far away from this conflict.”
Line 3: “Hello, Yuna. I hope you are well. I wonder how old you are, now that you're watching this sphere. You must be very beautiful, like your mother. I wish I could see you. Oh, by the way... Jecht and Auron send their regards. So far, our journey has been very entertaining. Of course, it is a hard journey, but I have no regrets. It is the path I have chosen. Yuna, when you have grown, you will have to find your own path. Do what you must do, the way you want to do it. Doors will always open themselves to those who do. Listen close, Yuna. Your future is yours to make. Live the way you want to. Whatever way that may be, you have your father's full support. Yuna, I will always be with you.”


Name: Isaaru
Age: 20’s
Gender: Male
Bio: The only male summoner in the game. Flanked by his brothers, Maroda and Pacce (who double as his guardians), Isaaru is recruited by the Yevonites early on. First they demand that he slaughter Yuna, which he tries to do but fails miserably. He's never quite on good terms with her, but eventually after Bevelle falls to anarchy, he's installed there to try to put some order into it. Perhaps he's too busy to bother chasing traitors.
Line 1: "Since I was a child, I've always looked up to Lord Braska. I wished I would someday become a high summoner like he was."
Line 2: "We owe our lives to the Al Bhed. However, no matter how much they beg, we cannot quit our pilgrimage.”
Line 3: “You are Yuna's guardian, no? Maroda's heard a curious rumor. I thought you should know.”


Name: Barthello
Age: 20’s
Gender: Male
Bio: Barthello is the only guardian to summoner Dona. At first silent, he suddenly starts talking when he meets Auron, claiming the legendary guardian was the reason he decided to become one. Whenever he is around Auron, Barthello becomes giddy, unable to contain his excitement. When Dona is kidnapped by the Al Bhed, Barthello starts doubting his abilities as a guardian. Auron gives him advice and he is able to continue his duties. Barthello eventually finds Dona and, depending on the player's choices, the two either continue their pilgrimage or give up on it.
Line 1: "I swear, I'll never wash this hand again!"
Line 2: “Can...I shake your hand? Auron--no, Sir Auron. You're the reason I became a guardian!”
Line 3: “We got separated on the way here. Damn it all! I've got to find her!”


Name: Maroda
Age: 20’s
Gender: Male
Bio: He is a guardian of his elder brother Isaaru, along with their younger brother Pacce.
Line 1: "Hey, I'm not looking forward to my brother dying when this is all over. If only there was some way of doing it without anyone dying."
Line 2: "Pacce was pretty tired. He should never have come on the pilgrimage, little kid like that. Still, he does pretty good for his size. He's gonna be something someday."
Line 3: “I heard it from those Crusaders. Seems that summoners have been going out on pilgrimage and just...disappearing.”


Name: Pacce
Age: About 10
Gender: Male
Bio: He is the brother and former guardian of Isaaru, along with his older brother Maroda. His young age suggests he may only be tagging along on the pilgrimage, though Isaaru is nevertheless encouraging.
Line 1: "Hey, uhm... what's "sacrificed"? The Al Bhed said summoners were being "sacrificed"... that summoners shouldn't have to do a pilgrimage..."
Line 2: “Hey, I'm doing good! Right, big brother?”
Line 3: “Don't worry! We'll guard this area!”


Name: Clasko
Age: Teens
Gender: Male
Bio: Clasko is a young man who served as a Chocobo Knight before the Eternal Calm, retiring shortly after the massacre of Operation Mi'ihen. Clasko never felt comfortable in his position. Although he was was good at taking care of the chocobos, he did not find himself comfortable with the strict pace maintained by Captain Lucil.
Line 1: "Hi there. Would you look at this? They always leave me behind."
Line 2: “I've always been able to tell how chocobos feel. Maybe I'd make a better chocobo breeder than Chocobo Knight, huh? Hey, what job do you see me doing?”
Line 3: “Yeah, I did. Elma was upset with me, but Captain Lucil understood. Now, I'm working as a chocobo breeder on this ship. I really, really love taking care of chocobos! Being with chocobos all the time...I think I've found my calling! And it's all thanks to you! Thank you! “


Name: Luzzu
Age: 30’s
Gender: Male
Bio: A hardened veteran of the Crusaders, Luzzu heads the Besaid regiment, with Gatta as his sidekick. Although he comes off as a serious, hard worker, it's actually quite the facade - his motto is keep your head down, always say "sir", and nobody bothers you much. ^^; However, his sense of duty is impeccable, and he falls in battle with Sin during Operation Mi'ihen. (You can stop this from happening by convincing Gatta to fight in the front lines; then Gatta will die and Luzzu will survive and return to Besaid.) He was the one who convinced Chappu to join the Crusaders; Wakka mostly forgave him for it, though it took a lot of work.
Line 1: "See? Keep your head down, say "sir" a lot, and you'll do fine."
Line 2: “The fiend before us is Ochu, Lord of the Wood! We've had trouble with this one before. Remember, discretion is the better part of valor.”
Line 3: “Gatta, he's...he's dead. He was a good fighter. He just wasn't lucky enough. [Luzzu suddenly explodes and starts punching the wall.] Ah, damn it! He was young! He pushed his luck! What was he thinking--going up there in the front lines like that? He should've stayed back with command! Damn it! Damn it all!”


Name: Gatta
Age: Teens
Gender: Male
Bio: The naive apprentice of the Besaid cadre of Crusaders, who looks up to Luzzu as a role model and is devastated when he is killed in Operation Mi'ihen. Although he kept wanting to be in the middle of things, I think he got the point that being torn in half isn't a good thing. O_o He ends up back in Besaid, leading a new batch of Crusaders (very new; most of 'em are kids). (You can change his fate by telling him to fight on the front lines; he'll die and Luzzu will return to Besaid instead.)
Line 1: " I'm not a cadet anymore, sir! Let me go with you, and I'll prove it to them! "
Line 2: “Luzzu, he's... I found him...but he was...torn in half. I... “
Line 3: “Advance toward the shore killing every fiend you see. And don't let your guard down even when you get there! Report immediately if Sin appears!”


Name: Kelk Ronso
Age: Elderly
Gender: Male
Bio: Kelk Ronso is the leader of the Ronso, and a Maester of Yevon in Final Fantasy X. Kelk speaks with much eloquence for a Ronso; since he is a Maester of Yevon, he most likely grew up in Bevelle in order to learn his duties as a Maester. This could explain his human-like speech and sophisticated mannerism.
Line 1: “Then, consider: You have inflicted dire injury upon Maester Seymour Guado...conspired with the Al Bhed and joined in their insurrection. These are traitorous and unforgivable crimes that disturb the order of Yevon. Tell this court what possessed you to participate in such violence.”
Line 2: “You have been branded a traitor, but still you would fight Sin? Lost to the temple, hated by the people, yet you continue your pilgrimage? Everything lost! What do you fight for?”
Line 3: “Even sacrificing yourself? (Ponders a while.) Ronso, let them pass! Summoner Yuna, your will is stronger than steel. Tempered steel that even the mightiest Ronso could not hope to bend. Yuna, we bow to your will! Now go! The sacred heights of Gagazet welcome you.”


Name: Yo Mika
Age: Elderly
Gender: Male
Bio: He's older than he looks - in fact, he's dead. Yet another Unsent. He's the head of the church of Yevon, and quite odd... he subscribes to the spiral of death involving the Final Summoning, but only because he truly believes that there's no way to actually defeat Sin. He's fanatically opposed to anyone trying to pierce the dead beliefs of the church, however, and it takes a huge overthrow (i.e. Yuna) to make him Send himself.
Line 1: "No matter how many summoners give their lives, Sin cannot be truly defeated. The rebirth cannot be stopped. Yet the courage of those who fight gives the people hope. There is nothing futile in the life and death of a summoner."
Line 2: “Men die. Beasts die. Trees die. Even continents perish. Only the power of death truly commands in Spira. Resisting its power is futile.”
Line 3: “You have profaned and subverted a thousand-year-old tradition? Fools! Infants! Do you realize what you've done? You've taken away the only means of calming Sin!”


Name: Kinoc
Age: 30’s/40’s
Gender: Male
Bio: Originally a fighter in the Yevonite's ranks, this ingratiating, double-crossing little man weaved his way up the ranks to become Maester of Djose. He looks quite comical with a machine gun in his hand, but of course ends up being double-crossed right back by Seymour.
Line 1: “I'd heard from Seymour, but I didn't know if we'd actually meet. Good to see you, Auron! Ten years, is it?”
Line 2: “Enlightened rule by the dead is preferable to the misguided failures of the living.”
Line 3: “Let it go, Seymour. No one thrown into the Via Purifico has ever survived.”



Name: Zuke
Age: 30’s/40’s
Gender: Male
Bio: One of Lulu's previous pilgrimages had her follow Father Zuke; he quit, though, and ended up in the Calm Lands. He doesn't have much to do with the current story.
Line 1: “Maester Mika just issued a personal order, you know. It said that you and your guardians murdered Maester Kinoc and fled. We are to kill you on sight, or so it says. “


Name: Cid
Age: 40’s
Gender: Male
Bio: Cid is the leader of the Al Bhed faction in the world of Final Fantasy X, and captain of the Fahrenheit, an airship excavated from the depths of the ocean. He is Rikku and Brother's father, and Yuna's uncle on her mother's side. Cid is loud and boisterous, traits that passed onto his son, and is also impulsive and quick to anger. He is proud of his machina airships and was responsible for building the Al Bhed base, Home, on Bikanel.
Line 1: “That's it? You're gonna tell her you're sorry? And then you just drag her to Zanarkand and make her fight Sin, huh? You're all the same -- let the summoner die so we can live in peace! (Throws Tidus to the deck)”
Line 2: “Drec pedac! Neggi! Oui nayt sa? Oui ku ihtan, duu! E ys majamehk Rusa! Yht dra veaht fedr ed!”
Line 3: “Well, that sounds like a plan to me! My baby here'll take us anywhere we want! Yee-hah! Here we go!”


Name: Rin
Age: 30’s/40’s
Gender: Male
Bio: A long-haired Al Bhed, who has set up Travel Agencies all over Spira in an effort to sell people things. He's always completely calm about everything and sees any crisis as an opportunity to make more money... although he never keeps any of it, to tell the truth: he uses it as part of a fund to rebuild the Al Bhed Home. He actively inquires into Tidus's bungling attempts to learn Al Bhed (or not so bungling, depending on how many Primers you've found).
Line 1: Byntuh sa. (Tidus speaks) Ah, forgive me, sir. I meant to say "pardon me," but it came out in Al Bhed”
Line 2: “We're being attacked from within. Some of the Guado that attacked Home must have snuck on board.”
Line 3: “Lady Yuna has become quite the summoner. A gentle nature, yet strong as steel. She reminds me of her parents. “


Name: Brother
Age: Early 20’s
Gender: Male
Bio: Rikku's Al Bhed brother... no, apparently he doesn't have a name. ^^; He's rather brash, but a decent blitzball player and a good airship pilot. He even makes a half-hearted attempt at learning English, such as it is.
Line 1: “Fyed! (Clears throat, speaks haltingly) Rikku, you...guard.”

Bio: An old foe of Kimahri; he was actually the one who broke his horn years ago, forcing Kimahri to leave in disgrace. When Kimahri returns and beats Biran, though, you can't call him a sore loser - he accepts defeat with grace and dignity. He is later killed by Seymour along with many other Ronso.
Line 1: "Leave Kimahri, Yenke. Kimahri is small Ronso. Kimahri so small can't see Yenke and Biran's faces."
Line 2: “Summoner may pass. Guardians may pass. Kimahri not pass! Kimahri shame Ronso brothers. Kimahri forget his birth.”
Line 3: “Strong is Kimahri. Biran is happy. Sacred Mount Gagazet! I honor the name of strong warrior who defeats Biran. Remember always, Gagazet! That name is Kimahri!”

Bio: One of Kimahri's stupid taunters; he basically hangs around Biran and jeers at Kimahri. He's bigger but slower than his counterpart. He is killed with Biran and many other Ronso by Seymour.
Line 1: "Why not talk, Kimahri? Not see Yenke for ten years! Say something! Kimahri forget Yenke? Forget Biran?"
Line 2: “Forget his people, forget his mountain. Little Ronso! Weakling Ronso!”
Line 3: “Mountain knows Kimahri strong. Kimahri may pass.”


Name: Tromell Guado
Age: 30’s
Gender: Male
Bio: The sycophantic retainer of Seymour, he follows everything Seymour does blindly - and not so blindly, destroying evidence of Seymour's patricide. He's a bit infuriating in his firm belief that Tidus is the Bad Guy, but eventually he regrets his deeds nonetheless. In fact, towards the end of the game he spends his entire time in the Farplane, apologizing.
Line 1: "Lady Yuna, we've been expecting you. We were surprised you decided to come so soon. Pleasantly surprised, of course. Lord Seymour sends his apologies for having left without notice."
Line 2: “No, stop! Stay away from him, traitors!”
Line 3: “When Lord Jyscal was alive, the Guado knew prosperity and honor. But now, we Guado wither and crumble. I, myself, could have done more to stop this. Forgive me, Lord Jyscal!”


Name: Jyscal Guado
Age: 30’s
Gender: Female
Bio: The well-meaning leader of the Guado helped them embrace Yevon's teachings and went so far as to take a human as a wife. Unfortunately this ended up in the birth of Seymour, which was not good for Jyscal, because Seymour killed him to become maester himself.
Line 1: “What I am about to tell you is the unclouded truth. I swear it on my honor as a Guado. Listen to me very carefully, for I shall tell you the truth about my son, Seymour. His mind is closed even to me, a maester of Yevon. But I can feel flames of darkness burning in his heart. He is using Yevon, the Guado, and even the summoners. If he is not stopped, he will surely bring destruction and chaos to Spira. I will leave this world soon, killed by my own son. But I do not fault him. Because I was not wise enough, he has suffered, and become twisted. I could not protect him and his mother from the world and its cruelty. I will accept death as punishment for my deeds. But whoever is watching this... I implore you to stop Seymour! Stop my son.”

Age: Ancient
Gender: Male
Bio: A scholar who follows Tidus around, offering pearls of wisdom on basically everything. His trademark phrase which he ends off all his tirades: "And that, as they say, is that."
Line 1: "And that, as they say, is that."
Line 2: “Where are my manners? I am Maechen, a scholar. At your service, m'lady. I am on a journey, studying the history of our world, Spira, seeking its stories and secrets.... My travels have taken me to many places, and I am troubled by what I have seen. Fragile smiles on people's faces crumbling at the mere mention of Sin. They are counting on you, m'lady. Give them a reason to rejoice once more.”
Line 3: “Well, hello there. Would you like to hear about this place?”

Name: O’aka XXIII
Age: 20’s/30’s
Gender: Male
Bio: A merchant with a Cockney accent and a backpack who trails around Yuna. At first it seems he's just out to make a quick buck (although if you donate to his cause his prices will be lowered), but it seems he's generally looking out for Yuna - although not enough to give her stuff for free. He's actually captured by the church and imprisoned for helping her, and his brother Wantz takes over the family business.
Line 1: "O'aka the Twenty-third, merchant extraordinaire!"
Line 2: “Oooh, them's fascinatin' clothes you're wearing! Yewh! Filthy, filthy! These won't sell or me name's not O'aka! Don't look like you got much money either. I've no business with ye. Outta me way!”
Line 3: “Good day, lad! Sneaked past the guards, I did! Be makin' a fortune with "Operation Mi'ihen" prices! But you, lad, you get a discount! I owes ya one, eh?”


Name: Wantz
Age: Teens
Gender: Male
Bio: O'aka's similarly Cockneyed brother takes over the business when O'aka is unceremoniously imprisoned for helping Yuna. Originally he was the FFX equivalent of a photographer, grabbing sphere shots of the party at inopportune times; but when duty calls, he answers.
Line 1: "Welcome! We've got some goodies today!"
Line 2: “I have to carry on my brother's business. You've met him, I think. O'aka XXIII, merchant extraordinaire?”
Line 3: “He doesn't regret it, though. In fact, he told me before they took him... "Don't worry about me, just go help Lady Yuna."

Line 2: “We're on watch duty at the temple at least until the wedding's done. Anyone tries to crash our party, we'll send 'em packing! “
Line 3: “Once we find chocobos, our Mounted Forces will ride again!”


Name: Lucil
Age: 20s
Gender: Female
Bio: Leader of the Chocobo Knights, Lucil is a natural leader, respected by others for her strength, boldness and vision.
Line 1: “There have been reports of a large fiend appearing in this area, with a taste for chocobos. Do take care, Summoner Yuna, if you are to rent any chocobos.”
Line 2: “We turned our backs on the teachings and cast away our faith. This...this is our just reward”
Line 3: “It is no good. We will have to find another way. We will find a ford where we can cross on foot.”

Name: Shelinda
Age: Teens/20’s
Gender: Female
Bio: A squeaky-voiced cleric of the Yevonites. She also follows around Tidus and Yuna, affirming her undying faith for Yevon. Eventually even she is shaken, though. She ends up being the captain of the guards in Bevelle due to nobody else wanting to do it.
Line 1: "But it's not about defeating Sin! The teachings of Yevon must be upheld."
Line 2: “In the end, I wasn't able to stop them, as you can see. But seeing their fierce determination, I couldn't just sit there. So I decided that I would do everything in my power to help them. “
Line 3: “Yes, the chaos in the temples is worse than I'd imagined. It's horrible! And all the priests do is blame each other. I worry what will become of Yevon. But no! I must be the rock that stands against the swirling tides, right? Lady Yuna, I must tell you, your courage has been a great inspiration to me.”


Name: Yunalesca
Age: Unknown
Gender: Female
Bio: The daughter of Yu Yevon was the first Summoner. Her husband Zaon was the first Final Aeon, as well... however, Yunalesca never died. She stayed on in the destroyed Zanarkand to complete the rite of the Final Summoning for all the other Summoners that came after. She's very powerful, and only Yuna (who was named after her) and her entire retinue of guardians was able to finally do Yunalesca in.
Line 1: “Yevon's teachings and the Final Summoning give the people of Spira hope. Without hope, they would drown in their sorrow. Now, choose. Who will be your fayth? Who will be the one to renew Spira's hope?”
Line 2: “Sin is eternal. Every aeon that defeats it becomes Sin in its place... And thus is Sin reborn.”
Line 3: “There must be a bond, between chosen and summoner, for that is what the Final Summoning embodies: the bond between husband and wife, mother and child, or between friends. If that bond is strong enough, its light will conquer Sin. A thousand years ago, I chose my husband Zaon as my fayth. Our bond was true, and I obtained the Final Aeon. There is nothing to fear. You will soon be freed of worry and pain. For once you call forth the Final Aeon, your life will end. Death is the ultimate and final liberation. Your father, Braska, chose this path.”

Bio: Dona is a summoner from Kilika in Final Fantasy X. Her only guardian is Barthello. She has a tendency of giving Yuna and her guardians a hard time.
Line 1: "All these guardians... and Sir Auron, too? And I hear Maester Seymour's quite taken with you. The world must look different when you're the daughter of Lord Braska."
Line 2: "Touch me with that hand and I'll remove it."
Line 3: “Wait... There's something I want to ask you. What would you think if I said I...I was giving up my pilgrimage?”


Name: Belgemine
Age: Unknown
Gender: Female
Bio: A summoner who's great at using her Aeons in battle. She constantly tests Yuna's ability to fight with her Aeons. Eventually we find out her home is in Remiem Temple, and she's yet another Unsent. Yuna agrees to send her after she's defeated all of her Aeons.
Line 1: “Ah, the high summoner's daughter. I've heard much of you. But you are still fresh on the road, are you not? “
Line 2: “That's not possible. You have already surpassed your father. There is nothing more I can teach you. My work here on Spira is done. Time for me to go.”
Line 3: “Ah, you shouldn't take what the maesters say too seriously. For summoners, destroying Sin is everything. We are no tools of Yevon, understand?“



Name: Seymour’s Mother/Anima’s Fayth
Age: 30’s
Gender: Female
Bio: Human mother to Seymour Guado and also his Final Aeon, she appears to the party at Baaj Temple to tell them the history behind Seymour Guado. She also appears in the Zanarkand dome in a pyrefly flashback.
Line 1: "He is the one who sowed the seeds of hatred. He is to blame. But I am at fault for letting him become what he was."
Line 2: “He was always alone--half Guado, half man. I wanted to give him the strength to live by himself. And so I became a fayth. But...because I let him taste power, he began to thirst for more. He was not satisfied with my aeon. He wanted more. More power.”
Line 3: “Yes. Come, summoner. I will bestow you with my power: The Dark Aeon, Anima. Destroy Sin, and my son's obsession with it. Though it is small recompense for what I did to him.”

Name: Tidus’ Mother

Bio: The mother of Tidus and the wife of Jecht in Final Fantasy X, appearing only briefly. She was deeply in love with her husband, so much so that both Auron and her son believed she had simply given up living after he disappeared.

Age: About 10
Gender: Female
Bio: She is a young girl seen on the Mi'ihen Highroad, longing for the Calm.

You can audition for whatever you like; without knowing your voice, I can't really recommend anything. If after I listen, I think you're better suited for a different part, I'll likely ask you to record those lines. And even past that, there will be plenty of minor roles that I'm certain to need extra people for. So don't fret, I need you no mater what! :)

Also, if we get cast, how does participation work? Do we simply record at home and send in our stuff?
